Don't let Maya and 3ds Max scare you off. It's just software, same as Photoshop. Takes a bit longer to learn, but if you start now, you won't regret it.
Amazing work. I've been wanting to learn how to render 3d models for the longest time. Programs such as Maya and 3ds Max scare the crap outta me. You should really check out the company I work for. They host a social network for commercial videographers called Poptent, and they give away $500 each month to the best demo reel. Check it out if you have the time. Your reel was awesome. Keep up with the 3d, cause your work is sick.
