hey guys when setting up live i was wondering if u need the ethernet cable to be connected the whole time in order to play live or can u just set up live and disconnect the ethernet cord and play?

btw my comp( laptop) is downstairs and my tv where i set it up (upstairs) and it would be a hassle to have like a 30f long ethernet cable althe way up my stairs inorder to play live.

any suggestions would be great

Start > Search 'cmd' > Type in ipconfig/all > Scroll up until you find it.

No! You can connect it straight from the router with the wire that is supplied with the Xbox. But if for some reason you need to connect it through a wireless network and you don't want to by the adapter, you can follow these steps above to connect without paying for the wireless adapter!
