  • @shamusadamus You "weap" for anyone that has to hear his idiocy? What are you a gay shakespear?

  • Aw how could you forget Carl Sagan?

  • Myslexics for the Degalization of Larijuana!!

  • Good PSA...but get Gingrich out of there please :P

  • So much more of a better advertisement than stupid D.A.R.E.

  • several years ago a clay pipe was excavated on William Shakespeare's property, years and years before tobacco was used in that part of the world. The pipe is said to have looked much like a smaller pipe of the sort used for mj.

Another portrait to hang in your gallery?

  • you forgot Carl Sagan :/

  • Let's be real though... many of these people tried it once and regretted it for the sake of their professional careers.

  • @e1foley ...Because it's illegal.

  • @e1foley but they shouldn't have to

  • we are actually closer than ever to having marijuana legal in this country. california's prop 19 did fail, but it was one of the closest votes in that election (and yes i voted for it) and just before arnold schwarzinager decriminalized use. a friend of mine was raided and had less then a dealers amount and had stuff confiscated but was not arrested, or even ticketed. and if the knowlege gets out, which we must all try to do, it will be legal again in this country.

  • @DrPsilocybin Hendrix was dround with a bottle of wine shoved down his thoat and cobain died of suicide from a gun shot wound to the face not drug over doses there just simple instating that they used it F.Y.I

  • I dont think Kurt Cobain and Jimi Hendrix where good representatives to put in there.

I respect both of them so much but after all they both died of drug overdoses.

Hunter S. Thompson was a great example though, he was one of the most intelligent people to ever live.

  • @DrPsilocybin they were both murdered.

  • you 4got Tupac

  • Ron Paul 2012

End the Fed and the wars on drugs, "terrorism"

  • hey now.. im not on this list :(

  • @Wildnight558 I've never had so much sex I wanted a beer or played so many slots I wanted a joint

  • Johnny Cash did do weed, and he regretted for the rest of his life.

  • Exactly some people are creative some people work hard some people are bums weed dosent change any of that . Except help people be well adjusted to there life and suroundings if anything.

  • @HuManAllyAnne very true.. weed does not make you a loser.. it just happens to be the drug of choice for them lol

  • putting whitney hueston dosent help the cause. at all. but the vid was dope

  • Bill Clinton didnt inhale tho.

can you imagine if one of you smoking buddies went up to you and said "i didnt inhale"?

id beat the fuck out of em, thats a waste of weed? WTF?

  • @blue6023 not inhaleing is true drug abuse lol

  • Obama...in 2006..wasnt american idol yet

  • what is the audio?

  • How come you left out B.H.O.? He freakin' lived on the stuff! Afraid to admit that our current pres. was/is a pothead?? And to liberal Norml types, who's cooler than Obama? Funny you would leave Barrak out of your list of "cool users". And you actually think Newt is cool????? Sorry, ain't buyin' it ---- And don't try to sell it to me!

  • Look at the date. When this video was made nobody knew anything about Obama. We all thought it would be Hillary going to the oval office.

  • lmfao try taking a look at the date you moron. and what the hell is your problem? why are you so concerned about Obama being on this list? he's the worse president we've ever had, accumilating more debt in the U.S. than ALL the presidents' combined. Little kid, think before you open your mouth. You sound ignorant and immature. You are exactly what the marijuana community does not need! And to jump over the names in this list for Obama is foolish!!

  • @CantStopWontStop818. A foolish man is the first to call someone else foolish. Lets not forget about the billions upon billions of dollars wasted by "dubya" yearly . Of whom is generally categorized as one of the top 5 worst and most unintelligent presidents of all time. Or what about the shit economy inherited by Clinton after the first Bush? Or how about the 100+billion dollars spent by Reagan and his fabulous Strategic Defense Initiative(commonly referred to as Star Wars)? NOTHING TO SHOW!!!

  • @sublimepunk301 We're calling Bush, a graduate with honors from Yale, stupid?

  • @CantStopWontStop818 Well, he *did* invent words akin to "strategery" (yes, I know not *that* one, but words just like it). I think that sums up his I.Q. ^_~

  • @SeraphimPwnsU Being dyslexic does not involve your "IQ".

  • @CantStopWontStop818 Being dyslexic has nothing to do with the words coming out of your mouth. It involves the words on paper. "Breast and brightest" is a Freudian slip. "Work hard to put food on your family" is speaking slower than he thinks. "Is our children learning" is poor grammar. "OB/Gyns aren't able to practice their love for women" is poor choice. "Fool me once... shame on.... if you fool me once, you can't get fooled again" is mangled. Forcing a locked door then stand there is dumb.

  • @CantStopWontStop818 um bush was a c student in college, not honors. in fact his dad got him into yale. its true he was dyslexic, but i myself have known dyslexic people who were still able to get staight A's and go to prestigious colleges on there own merits.

  • I think putting people on there who had substance abuse problems (like Chris Farley) is counterproductive, especially in cases where the person died as a result of those problems. It could add to the "gateway drug" hysteria.

  • Anything can become a "gateway" if abused long enough. Gambling is a serious addiction. Has the same effect on the brain as drugs. Tomography studies of gamblers show that the same areas of the brain are affected as heroin addicts and alkees. So in essence, anything can become a gateway if used or abused long enough. The "same pleasure centers" in the brain are affected (such as the nucleus accumbens) whether it's pot, booze, heroin, gambling, sex or ciggies. It's all the same brain parts.

  • I agree. I thought my point was pretty clear, but I guess not. Thanks for down-thumbing my comment that you didn't understand.

Regardless of how stupid the argument is, it's still a common one, and It's one we're playing into when we have people who died of drug overdoses on our PSA's.

  • lets at least figure out how to spell jimi hendrix correctly

  • Legalize

  • 1st we must legalize freedom.

  • the obsession with legalization for medical purposes is screwing things up, it needs to be legalized period. This will not happen if people who are serious about the issue don't get alot more agressive and for christs sake vote, inundate your politicians with letters and e-mails join norml do it all

  • yes im down to put my heavy artilerry to good use... who do we start blastin to get this shit legalized?

  • @cookdavh wrote "The obsession with legalization for medical purposes is screwing things up, it needs to be legalized period."

That point is worth repeating. The medical-use debate is a "red herring", distracting society from addressing the REAL issue . . . liberty.

  • this list could go on for daaaaaaaaaaaaaayyys maaan

  • edit: Bill Gates, George Bush, Barack Obama, Ted Turner

  • george bush is not one of their COOLER users

god, saying george bush uses weed would be a great anit weed psa

  • u forgot to say fuck the police

  • Good call.

  • haha lol thats funny

i smell bacon, i smell pork, run piggy run piggy i got a fork

  • Dude but if my gov says its bad that means it's bad right? Why would my government ever lie to me?

  • the government lies about everything. they try to control people with fear and unfortunately, most of the time, it works.

  • wow pancake i hope you were bieng sarcastic or you are just a little kid or something,

did you know that back in the 50s or 60s or whenever they started to make laws against weed, the dude that was running the whole war on drugs at the time....said that if someone even takes one puff of marijuana cannibus or what ever you want to call it , that they would instantly go insane and kill all of their family.

its called propaganda , thats one of the reasons i cant stand government

  • I was being sarcastically ironic. ;) I hope we legalize it ASAP.

  • hey man..take down kurt cobain..like..im for norml cause im pot 4 life..but...anti-marijuana people will be like "he died from weed" and stupid stuff like that. good job tho ! nice concept man!

  • Ha ha ha.

Weed: more fatal than heroine and valium.

  • Do you really want people like Johnny Cash and Kurt Cobain up there? I mean sure, they were amazing musicians, but... not exactly model citizens?

  • nobody is perfect, i think its just saying that you can make a contribution, even change the world, and smoke weed, just by saying that the prohibition argument is flawed because weed smokers aren't all "lazy hippies".

  • I just think, traditionally, reform comes through demonstrating positive effects such a reform has. When people who are prime 'examples' of the supposed "gateway effect" are put up, I find it hinders the movement more than aids it. I mean do you think legislation is more likely to pass to legalize hemp if a bunch of tie-dye long-haired kids protest or trim-cut business-suit wearing ones do? I'm not saying its the right thing, I'm just saying that that's the way change happens in society.

  • i think personally the old saying of "out of sight, out of mind" applies, basically any publicity for the cause will help, its clear that the government will do what ever they can to avoid admitting they were wrong so really we don't need the hippies or the suits, we need both to keep pushing until no one agrees with the governments lies.

  • It's Stephen King not Steven

  • oh yeah they also forgot Montel Williams

  • They forgot to put Bruce Lee up here

  • pythagoras? shakespeare? What? Conan o'brien?

  • actually yes about William Shakespeare, traces of cannabis were found in his pipe (kinda makes sense when you consider A Midsummer's Nights Dream), dunno about Pythagoras though, i would imagine that it would be difficult to prove either way.

  • that's interesting, have you heard that bruce lee was a hash smoker? this video doesn't mention him.

  • Add Carl Sagan.

  • LEGALIZE FREEDOM

  • learn to spell you stoner.

it's JIMI hendrix and francis ford COPPOLA

  • Is that the only counter-point you have? Weak.

  • its true, i mean it eliminates the full meaning of the message, it just shows how the people who made this cared less of the people who were involved in the psa and only cared for the fact that they happened to smoke. Its disrespect

  • I support NORML and all liberty.

not all of those ppl were cool, and they probably could have left out the ppl that died of drug overdoses.

  • They died of other drugs, not marijuana. Its nearly impossible to OD on marijuana and has never happend in history.

  • Yea yea I know,

    I say that cuz

The idea of this video is not to convince me, its to convince other people. You have to think about your target audience. (what is the oposition gonna think?)

    This is very important.

  • Freedom is popular and so is Ron Paul! He is the best chance of ending this unconstitutional "war on drugs"

  • Ron Paul is a freak who never had a chance!

  • they forgot to mention president bush. oops, i guess it said some of our COOLER users, not some of our more HYPOCRYTICAL users.

  • What song is that.

  • its not whos doing better we are all united in our efforts i agree on Ron Paul 08

  • NORML is good but I think MPP is doing a better job....RON PAUL 08!

  • i agree MPP is doing a better job. they are behind most of the legislation which has legalized or decriminalized marijuana in this country. more voices isn't such a bad thing though.

  • Hello good people. Please dont get me wrong when I say this....but NORML does not seem to be getting the job done.30+ years and nothing. How long did alcohol prohibition last??Is NORML gragging their feet to reep the merch profit??So good people do your homework and dont let anything spoon feed you second hand info.NORML has an agenda but is it Marijuana Reform or under the table pay offs from the powers that be.........

  • AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH FUCK YEA,wake up already my friends this isnt gonna go away,so get off our backs and just let us smoke a jay!!!!!!!!!

  • I bet Arnold doesn't want anyone to see this..what a hypocrite. California was just hit again by the feds at the medical marijuana places. It must be legalized along with HEMP!!!

  • fuckin eh hemp! lets give trees a rest and use something easier to grow and manufacture!

  • nice... lol

  • Hahaha I KNEW Conan smoked that stuff!!! lol he's awesome I love him.

  • Coppola is spell wrong... but I love the idea for this PSA.

  • Wasn't that picture of Drew just...LOVELY!!!!

  • yea it was

  • Nice i have way more respect for a lot of these people, even the Governator is for legalization. I didn't know Conan was for it either I've been a big fan of his for years.

  • Freedom please, Death to Prohibition.

  • Spelt Coppola wrong too...

  • owned

  • I would love to smoke a joint with Conan O'Brien!

  • connan smokes sense the early 80s ,as do most funnie people ,cool people

  • I would like to see a video of more influential and succesful people from more distinguished fields(politicians, busineess icons...) which the video did show in small numbers(gates, clinton..). Howevere most of the people shown were artists who most people view as eccentric anyways. I think showing some of the most successful and respected people who have smoked pot would contribute much more to the movement of making people see how normal marijuana is. Just a thought. But good vid.

  • regardless, everyone is normal.

    LEGALIZE!

  • THANK YOU!

  • since when does conan smoke can someone tell me

  • if you'd just change "Jimmy" Hendrix to Jimi then it'd be perfect :)

  • Very cool video, I especially enjoyed the final "user". Keep up the good work.

  • Yes, the final user...We'll miss him forever.

  • Salvidor dali's used more then marijuana. I hope his art work is intense. I really like it. Good movie but I think one with more important people and not celebrities would have been more effective. Like einstien

  • Hey, I wouldn't mind hearing more about Salvador Dali's use of Marijuana. That's a new one one me.

  • We all know some one who smokes it. For pain or comfort as God is the Judge may His Holy weed be preserved. Pass the word pot is good. Lies from Men do not change the truth. Stay away from drugs they are poison to the body, mind, & spirit. This herb from God called cannabis sativa is the plant renown to restore America. It is from Yeshua; You call Him Jesus. He made this plant so we will not be ashamed. Understand what a gift this is. God called it very good. www.Hemp.Homestead.com

  • Several of the names are misspelled (Jimi Hendrix, Stephen King, Arnold Schwarzenegger). Also it is Nat'l Org. for the Reform (not Reformation) of Marijuana Laws

  • Nice very nice great job

  • Thank you for putting this together... good job!

  • nice
