@Nasbayern However, this was not intended as a prayer to recite in some kind of prayer ritual. It is an example of the content or prayer to God. Recited 'prayers' are part of a religious ritual, but they are not true prayer. True prayer is LISTENING to God, not talking. The only true prayer is a response to the Holy Spirit who searches our hearts and reveals our sin to us. This is why in the Bible, such rituals are scorned at and dismissed by God as a stench in his nostrils.

Do you know that i read 1 part of the Quran every day and all Muslims do especially in this holy month of Ramadan? Did you know that i and most Muslims go to pray at night at least 10 times in a prayer called Tarawih? So ith this we have dedicated a lot of our time for God rather than partying and drinking alcohol in the churches! :D

@Nasbayern It is also within the permissible WILL OF GOD that the Muslims deny Jesus and his crucifixion. God is using the muslims to fulfill his purpose. When the muslim's purpose is finished with, God will allow the muslims to see their Error and Sin and that the Quran is not God's word. However in denying Jesus Messiahship and his Sacrifice on the Cross, it may be too late for Muslims to be saved, because they have denied the Lord and Judgement must follow.
@Nasbayern You can read the story of Nicodemus in John's gospel chapter 3. In John 3:2 Nicodumus knew that Jesus was really a 'teacher' or 'prophet' from God even though the others rejected him. "Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him". Jesus answered "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man IS BORN AGAIN, he CANNOT SEE THE KINGDOM OF GOD."

@MayIPlzAskYou... The prophet Muhammad (pbuh) prayed 5 prayers (compulsory) a day. Either dividing them over 5 times or combining them in 3 times a day. This was the case everyday for 23 years or so in GROUP prayers. Plus he use to do and advice others to pray recommended prayers as well. :)

@MultiYasser12 Re: praying 5 X day shows greater dedication than any other religion- A Christain with a close walk with the Lord is in a constant state of prayer. There are no set number of times per day to pray. That would be legalistic and lacking in a genuine relationship with God.

Kaaba represents unity in Islam, it's just symbolic, imagine if Muslims didn't have a direction to pray! Every Muslim would pray in a different direction so God chose that holy place as a direction for his people! But we pray to the one only God!

Recited 'prayers' are part of a religious ritual, but they are not true prayer. True prayer is LISTENING to God, not talking. The only true prayer is a response to the Holy Spirit who searches our hearts and reveals our sin to us. This is why in the Bible, such rituals are scorned at and dismissed by God as a stench in his nostrils.

This means constant communication with God, not just a token or recital of some words. If you only pray 5 times a day, then what about all the rest of the hours in the day when you are not 'praying'?

(25:5) "Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; ON THEE DO I WAIT ALL THE DAY."
Friend, you can't be half dedicated to seeking God! 5 prayers are a religious ritual discipline, but they do not fulfill what God requires. Notice in this Psalm, that we are to WAIT (and listen) to God ALL DAY.

@Nasbayern It is also within the permissible WILL OF GOD that the Muslims deny Jesus and his crucifixion. God is using the muslims to fulfill his purpose. When the muslim's purpose is finished with, God will allow the muslims to see their Error and Sin and that the Quran is not God's word. However in denying Jesus Messiahship and his Sacrifice on the Cross, it may be too late for Muslims to be saved, because they have denied the Lord and Judgement must follow.

@Nasbayern You can read the story of Nicodemus in John's gospel chapter 3. In John 3:2 Nicodumus knew that Jesus was really a 'teacher' or 'prophet' from God even though the others rejected him. "Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him". Jesus answered "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man IS BORN AGAIN, he CANNOT SEE THE KINGDOM OF GOD."

@MayIPlzAskYou... The prophet Muhammad (pbuh) prayed 5 prayers (compulsory) a day. Either dividing them over 5 times or combining them in 3 times a day. This was the case everyday for 23 years or so in GROUP prayers. Plus he use to do and advice others to pray recommended prayers as well. :)

The hadiths which accompany this chapter also confirm in detail of the requirements to pray 5 times a day.
You can refer to Bukhari, book of Salah for confimation from the hadiths.

Al-Aqsa was the furthest Masjid from Al-Haram.
Regarding your hadith abourt Ashia. Bukhari Vol 6 starts from book 65 not 60.
Book 60 is in volume 4 and hadith no 378 does not exsist in this book or in any book in volume 6.

@hguyon It states that God took him unto Himself, if you referring within the context of the ayah that states "They didnot kill him, nor did they crucify him." All Muslims believe in the return of prophet Jesus (pbuh) which is mentioned in various authentic hadiths. Also, by the way the way you referred to "the right hand of man", it's in a metaphorical sense, do not think it's of a geographical sense. Do not read sementic religions with a western spin into it. @adenola it was done in the midieval time and in U.S. there was witch burning cuz it says it in the bible u can go look it up how many acts of attrocities it says to do to unbelievers. Also the verse ur talking bout is only used for time of war and because wen we r attacked it is only reasonable for us to attack back. Jihad in todays world is wrong i dont support terrorist because in islam suicide is not allowed. The last thing u said i promise u wil not say it on the day of judgment

Any person must be appalled at allah's weakness and lack of faithfulness. Muslims admittedly worship a god who they admit failed to protect his word from corruption- not once, mind you, but TWICE. I mean, one failure is clear sign that allah is not God- but two failures by a deity is surely recordbreaking! That allah is a failure is clear. But why follow him? You can't rely on his word- the koran has a sura missing- eaten by a goat (as stated in hadith). So, allah has failed THREE times!!!

Also were is corruption in the Quran the corruption is in the bible. @aswdwd allah is weak as muslims admit that he could not protect his own word. islam teaches that allah could not preserve the 'torah' and the 'gospels' as they are now 'corrupt'. allah failed twice (i.e. 100%), so on the balance of probabilities, the koran is most likely corrupt as well as allah fails. A diety that has failed twice before is not worthy of trust. One must be insane to trust allah and his koran. Hadith are CLEAR that at least one surah was eaten by a goat. That's a fact.

@praisecalvary ok first of all it shows how ignorant u r because it states in the Quran that Allah says the humans were entrusted with the gospel and the torah and they failed in protecting it that is why Allah is protecting his final revelation and no greater power is needed to protect it then him. Also the Hadith is subjective because it depends who wrote it but for argument sake how does it even matter that a goat ate it because the best way of preservation is through memorization

Islam is not a new religion , but a final restatement of the original revelation that has been conveyed to humanity by messengers and prophets sent by GOD. The original, unchanged revelations given to Abraham and other prophets(like Moses and Jesus ) reaching back to Adam all came from the One True God(The Creator). If Jesus was just a human, how could He be all of that? If Jesus was just another "created" being just like you and me, why did He say all those things about Himself? And if He wasn't God, why didn't He rebuke Thomas when he exclaimed "My Lord and my God"?

Seriously, if his mission was so that people should worship him, he would have made it explicit. Instead he said "Worship your Lord and my Lord".
