I hate myself for missing out on meeting Ian, but I had to move to Valdosta and I'll be back at Navarre next year. I'm still happy he's touched my heart the way he did, Ian was a man and not many people could of done what he did. R.I.P Ian lockwood. You touched sooooo many people.
I woke up again in the middle of the night today due to an illness that has consumed me for the past several years, and just happened to stumble across Ian's story. I believe every now and then God brings someone into our lives who makes an impact and reminds us to never give up hope... to fight. So although I did not get the opportunity to meet him, I am inspired by him and his story.... his life.

I remember Ian when he was still in elementary school. I'm sure his parents and friends would have no idea who I am, but he was best friends with my friend's younger brother. He was such a good kid.
