  • I am a huge Parsons fan, but I really dislike this version of the song. Sounds like something from Carol King. I prefer the "strolling" sound of the original. I have also heard much better live versions. Although you have to love Booker

  • No song ever created such an amazing feeling inside of me!!! This is definitly one of the most beautiful songs EVER!!! But the Video (with this nice comic story) ist also very very nice and I will always remember, how I sat in front of the TV, when it was shown on the music show called "Formel Eins". I was ten years old.

  • This is an absolutely amazing performance of a great song. I agree with those who said they can't believe these guys are not in the R&R Hall of Fame. That's a shame. I have to believe they are on the short list! OUTSTANDING in every sense!

  • Wow! Totally awesome! Agreed that I can't comprehend why these guys aren't in the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame.

  • Alan Parsons, Andrew Powell, Ian Bairnson, David Paton, Stuart Elliot, Lenny Zakatek, Richard 'Trix' Cottle, Gary Brooker and the late, great Eric Woolfson working 'behind the scenes'. Wow! What a line-up and what a performance! Too bad Eric stayed in the 'background' and chose not to sing the song he wrote. That would have been true perfection!

  • Why these guys haven't been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame is beyond me.

  • Lenny as funky and warmly as ever... unluckily, Alan had just broken his long-term partnership with my dear auld gigantic hero and fellow Scot Eric Woolfson, who wrote this yin and sang it too... so he wasn't here, but I presume he wouldn't as well even if being part of the band, he was too much of a background figure, although the Project was all his, along with Alan.

Gary Brooker is always striking. Saw him live 5 years ago, his voice was immaculate, and he was very friendly. :-)

  • @220773 Great that Davie Paton decided to join the band after having quit the band for three years. :-)

  • Stuart, Andy Powell, Ian... everyone was there but Eric.

I still miss you a lot, ye humble Glaswegian giant. :-*

    R.I.P.

  • This is one of those rare times when the live version sounds better than the studio version.

  • Lenny Zakatak! lol

  • Richard Cottle does the keyboards and sax

  • Hello from France !

what a wonderfull song and show !!! Thank you for sharing ! This live is better

    than studio no ?

  • Who's the keyboard\sax player? Great sax solo!

  • Unique version!

  • I always thought bands played fast live to hurry through the set!!!!

  • Wow, 1990! 20 years on...

  • LOL "We're gonna need more hand clapping before Alan starts to sing, seriously!"

  • Fast it is damn good!

  • its VERY FAST i have perfect pitch for music and also beat as i was a drummer too. wow this is FAST!!!

  • That is Gary Brooker from Procol Harem on the piano. Singing the 2nd part.

  • @speedracerwon Yes the great Gary!

Procol Harum was one of the greatest bands of symphonic rock..............

  • Lenny Zakatek in great voice, with David Paton having a great time. What more could you want?

  • Wonderful!!!! What a fantastic concert that must have been!

    Rock on David Paton!

  • Wow, it's funny how no one notices that they are playing it just a little too fast.

I've been playing for years in local bands.

When you play it just a little fast, people don't notice usually...but play it too slow and they'll notice!

Funny how not one person has made a comment about it.

It IS noticable. I wouldn't make a post about it if their wasn't much difference.

    Great song...a pure classic.

  • There's some reason for some bands tend to play faster on live performances, unless they are playing an acoustic version ... strange but real!

  • Yes, I think you're right. It could be the energy...the adrenalin perhaps?

    Still, it's not TOO fast.

  • Lenny!!! With a bald spot, just like me!! Lenny, as much as Eric, is the voice of the Project. I love him.

  • This looked like a concert worth seeing.

  • Love Lenny.!!!!!

  • OH MY GOD, even Gary Brooker was there, i think the only one missing here was Eric, where are you man??? we´d love to see you and hear you live!!!!

  • ..and such as bonus..

..ain't it David Paton on the Folk Guitar ?

    I believe..

    what do you think ?

it would be amazing to find those all together..

  • Yep, that is definately David playing the acoustic guitar and providing the harmony vocals.

  • I love this song. Lenny is great on the songs that he sings like Games People Play. But this song was sung by Eric Woolfson and the Alan Parson's Project is just not the same without him. Eric sounds a lot better on this one than Lenny.

  • Right, every hit of Alan Parsons besides Games People Play was sung by Eric Woolfson.

For me Eric is the true voice of The Project.

    Time - Eric Woolfson

Eye in the Sky - Eric Woolfson

Don't Answer Me - Eric Woolfson

  • As great as the studio version! No! Way better with lenny and the audience.

THIS we see here IS (rather, was) the spirit of the TRUE Project!!

This is pure gold, pure magic. Thank you SO MUCH! May you tell me where and when did you got this? 5/5 obviously :D

  • @SpiralPegasus I was not sure they'd ever tour, This being the first one is amazing

  • Yeah! I love The Alan Parsons Project, Great performance with his friends, thanks so much to posting this video!! ♥♥♥

  • Hmm.. nice for historical purposes but good thing the APLP got better as the years wore on!

  • Not enough of Lenny, where can I find more of his music???

  • any more of Lenny I wpuld like to hear more from him

  • Every time I see AP video clips it's like little trips to heaven. And seeing Lenny Zakatek was an undescribable delight. He's always been my favorite AP singer. Gary Brooker was a treat, too. Thank you so much!

  • aaaarrrgh! THANK YOU.What to know more about this performence ? Great pleasure to see alan & his friends. :D

  • Marvelous, 10 of a 10
