And I'm not sure where the injury comment came from, I don't see any excuses about on this page about Barkley being injured. Although USC had just as many if not more than ND going into that game. And there's something to be said about having your back up QB get 4 games of starting experience instead of being thrown immediately into his first start in 4 years, regardless that's all beside the point.

I like USC fans still talking like their team's good. You guys suck. Last year was as good as it's going to get under Kiffin. And last year was as bad as it will ever be at ND under Kelly. And ND beat SC @ SC. "Our quarterback was hurt!" So was ours. So was our running back. So was our slot receiver. So was our nose guard. So was our tight end.

Talking like their team's good? Why because I defend the football program of the school I go to when you guys make such ignorant comments? USC wasn't very good last year, I'll be the first to admit that, in fact by our standards the season was pretty mediocre. The fact that you're sitting here bragging after ND went 8-5 with a pathetic schedule and struggled to beat one of the worst teams USC has fielded in the last 9 years is a testament how low your program has fallen.

LOL "As good as it's going to get under Kiffin"? Based on what? No else's ever been faced with the adversity of having a complete change of personnel, a change in the AD, the sanctions, a multitude of transfers, and the departure of one of the most iconic coaches ever in one season.

And despite that Kiffin finished with a respectable record and solidified two top 5 recruiting classes these last 2 years. I'm sure you'd love to believe your moronic statement, but everything suggests otherwise.

First of all he's projected as a wideout at the next level and second I'm sure De'Anthony Thomas, Brendan Bigelow, Kelsey Young, Shaq Thompson, etc would all have something to say about that. As a pure running back and statistically Atkinson is behind all of them.

Why are you begging him to become a Trojan? We backed off of Atkinson a long time ago, he wanted to play offense and we don't need him as a WR or a RB two positions we're deep at. He should go where he wants, where he's able to play the position he wants instead of riding the bench elsewhere. If he wants to waste away in South Bend and not have a chance to move on to the pro level, let him be a Domer. Unless he decides to play DB, it would've been a waste of scholarship anyway.

Lol you can keep Cierre Wood, he's such an amazing talent at RB he was moved to safety in the spring. He "beasted" USC and yet didn't even have a rushing td or break 100 yards. That's good for him he had a couple more yards than Marc Tyler in a sloppy game where USC had no passing attack because Barkley was out, but how do their whole seasons stack up? What was that? Tyler had 3 times as many tds and rushed for 300 more yards. Not sure what that has to do with Atkinson either...
