Great info, when I go to the range for the first time this weekend I will be loading my 880 rounds of surplus ammo into stripper clips the correct way! Thank you!
i enjoyed seeing that you had the rifle completely safe by removing the bolt to demonstrate stripping in live rounds! I do the same for practice! good vid guy!
@aDveebay If you are bad at using the stripper clip it is easier to just put them in one by one, but if you put in a little practice it is definitely worth it to use the stripper clips in my opinion.
I load mine the same way and it works flawlessly, though technically the interrupter, in proper working order, should make it impossible to rimlock the shells. The problem with old milsurp Mosins though, is that a lot of time the interrupter is NOT in proper working order.
No , Strippers are designed to store with the ammunition until needed. It was issued many times in the strippers and bandoliers or just the strippers for pouch.
Hi from Australia, just getting into military rifle comps here and was holding out in buying an M91/30 due to the stripper clip loading problems. Borrowed a mates rifle and used your way of loading....PERFECT....time after time.....thanks mate....
You sir are amazing. This video is incredible, I was rather concerned about buying some of the cheaper US made stripper clips but after watching this video I can see it comes down to proper usage of the clips.
Great video man. Googled Mosin Nagant stripper clips and unfortunately the two YouTube videos that come up are worthless and one flat out tells you to load it incorrectly. Glad I found this one.
Also, where'd you get your stripper clip? Any particular website or just pick it up at a gun show? The ones I have seem too tight but yours seemed just right.
@Shivalyn Thanks! Glad you liked it, I got mine off of eBay, just wait a while and original stripper clips will pop up. They can be found at gun shows also. Any surplus stripper clips from an eastern European country will usually be pretty decent. Mine are polish.

Is it easier and/or faster to bother with a stripper clip rather than putting them in one at a time?

do stripper clips get weaker if you leave ammo in them for extended periods of time?

This is the absolute proper way of loading the stripper clips. Any other way is wrong.

doesnt the R also mean Russian or is that just what people think because most russian guns use it.

@MrBerretaboy The R stands for "Rimmed" by CIP designation.
