  • No need to jump at the person like a bible basher, blaming someone for worldwar 2, and since you are being sooooo particular.. read through the comments and notice that about 90% have got nothing directly to do with this video. Try to relax a bit!

  • I heard this song for the first time on the radio two days ago. I didnt even know Mike Oldfield had a sister. WOW she is some singer and she got a very unique style... I love it.

... now reading some comments on here.. ffs roof30...calm your knickers!.. somebody here (Forestamtul) made an absolutely harmless funny comment... (this song is about mirrors---- she/he got reminded by the song, that the body could do with a bit of tuning up or something like that).. that she/he shared with us.

  • @Sammmmmy321 mike oldfield started off with sally in a folk group called sallyangie

  • @bellboy1973.... ty for the info.. I will check that out

  • Grande voz! Grande musica!

  • Amo Sally! kisses from Brazil!

  • Sally is the most underrated folk-artist of all time. When will she get all the prizes & fame she deserves? It's a long time...

    (Pat, Switzerland)

  • Ditto Mister,

  • Forestamtul - why would you bother posting something like that here? This is for comments about the song/video; see down here where it says: Comment on this video...

It would be worth you reconsidering your texts before you post for the entire world to see.

  • Forestamtul

i HATE looking in the mirror IM soooo ugly and fat

  • Forestamtul - why would you post something like that on here? This is for comments about the song. I'm fairly certain there are a wealth of online forums available to you if you feel inclined to post comments about yourself.

  • This took me back to a happy place - thanks for posting:)

  • i HATE looking in the mirror IM soooo ugly and fat.

  • Erm, I don't think this song is about you.

  • Good art doesn't gets older. I live in Brazil.

  • a beautiful song from a very underated singer/songwriter

  • is this the same song as little white horses?

  • It's bloody lovely this song, and I think she sings it real well.

  • Why, she's scant of breath and even sings out of tune -as her foice faints and fails- around half of the song.

I loved this song and still like it, though,

  • One of the most beautiful songs of all time i thank u.

  • I lovedd Sally in the early 80´s and loved Mike Oldfield so much more!°

  • This music was made thirty years ago.Good art doesn't gets older.

  • ThAnX FoR PoSTiNg

  • Tema da novela Pai Herói, em 1979, pela Rede Globo.

  • This song is amazing and always cheers me up

  • I remember so clearly the first time I heard this song. A friend was visiting me in my room in halls of residence, and we were about to go out. The radio was on. I was going to switch it off, and heard this song. I could not believe how perfect it was. A bit of an epiphany.

  • Good, isn't it?!

  • Dead good.

  • Pure 70s childhood! Christ knows why this song stuck in my head.

  • FANTASTICA

  • A beautiful song by a beautiful woman.

  • Would someone please upload Sally's _Celebration_? It's not on YouTube!

  • I remembered this song when it was in the charts. I was only a child at the time. I never remember it being this jazzy though! Both me and my sister used to try and copy her with the white dress, I think we did a slightly more virginal rendition!!

  • I liked this, since I listened it, when I was a child, about 30 years ago.

  • This song is very special for me. At that time (1979) i wasn't even born, but when I had the opportuniy to listen to this, it comes to my heart, and still there until now.

  • Lovely song always reminds me of starting on the Railway in 1979 Jan 15th, sounds sad but am still on almost 30 years on, wonder what she looks like now.

  • Bellisima canción y que voz tan maravillosa!!!

  • This song it's incredible!!! I am so happy to know that the singer is Sally Oldfield..(who wrote this song?..Her brother Mike?)

  • Wow, not heard this for a very long time. Superb to hear it again. Thanks for posting and sharing.

  • God I was 12. I loved this, reminds me of cold frosty mornings on my way to school and getting laughed at for having a hair cut. How I wish i could go back to them days.

  • "Today' she's heavily into alternative medicine" says the caption. What a shock that is. I think she went forward in time and stole this from Tori Amos (Silent All These Years)

  • i watch this every day, 3 or more time/day. Sooo relaxing. It makes me feel like dancing in the rain:)

  • uma voz sensacional

  • god thanx taken me back

  • !

    !!!!

  • You know what's funny? The vibrato she uses in her singing very much resembles the vibrato brother Mike uses in his guitar-playing! I have no clue what kind of a woman Mama Oldfield was, but she gave to the world two extraordinarily gifted kids. May you rest in peace, Darling!

There is nothing in the world that we can do

To stop the light of love from shining through...
