  • I'm not understanding the love for the original opening. I like it, too, but the voices and dialogue were cheesy as fuck. I can't watch it without laughing.

The new dialogue manages to say the same exact thing, but has I can take it much more seriously. Plus, it's more subtle, especially with Dracula's attack on religion. Dracula and Richter definitely sound better here. Dracula actually sounds menacing here.

The only voices I thought the original did better were Alucard and Maria's.

  • Voices = Fail

    Dialogue = Fail

    : (

  • FAIL = FAIL

voice and i didnt bother try to play this game even if its free

  • Flame me all you please, but I preferred this version, not being saddled with nostalgia. That said, the old version has it's own charm.

  • @DragonGodXIII

I'm not nostalgic, I just thought the old one was more powerful. This one makes more sense, but it loses its emotion.

  • @TwinUzis You're free to say that. I'm not one of those holier than thou assholes XD

  • @DragonGodXIII

Yeah. I love seeing that crap. "I'm better than you because I prefer this video game dialogue."

    Pretty pathetic, haha.

  • You steal man souls, and make them your slaves. That's the original one

  • Belmont,son of Belmont,son of Belmont,son of Belmont,son of Belmont,son of Belmont,son of Belmont,son of Belmont,son of Belmont,son of Belmont,son of Belmont,son of Belmont,son of Belmont,son of Belmont,son of Belmont,son of Belmont,son of Belmont,son of Belmont,son of Belmont,son of Belmont,son of Belmont,son of Belmont,son of Belmont,son of Belmont,son of Belmont,son of Belmont,son of Belmont,son of Belmont,son of Belmont,son of Belmont,son of Belmont,son of Belmont,son of Belmont,son of Belmo

  • This new voiceis = fail

  • It would be alright if I didn't already know what a man was.

  • I fell bad for the goblet XD

  • Haha, i actually loved SotN's original voice acting... And most of the script. To me, the way they talked seemed fitting during the time the game took place in. XD Or at least, that's how i like to imagine they talked back then. :P

  • The original one was Sooo good because it was actually really really bad XD.

This one is better but it lacks the carisma of the original SotN dialog, but judging only voice acting this one is better, but i prefer the SotN one because its funnier lol.

  • oh come on.. sotn's dialogue for this part was better...

  • WHAT IS A MAN?

  • @layger7 A miserable little pile of BULLSHIT!?

  • New dialog is lame... Don't you think so?

  • @Tsukiyomaru0

Hammy, yes. Lame? No. Hell, I prefer this.

Not saying I dislike the original.

  • still cheesy, belmont sof of a b....elmont, they cut the religions crap, is not funny anymore

  • They ruined it all.

    DIE MONSTER!!!!

  • The original dialog is much more funny.

This, obviously is more appropriate, still CV games never really had all that great dialog, so I somewhat prefer hilariously bad writing and voice acting to average. :D

  • PSP???????''

  • Jeez the changes were really small, it's nothing important imo, it's not as they changed everything like some other dubs.

  • This new dialogue works just fine with SotN, but here they shoddily cropped Dracula's final lines because of the animators' decision to let him do something entirely different in less time, so it doesn't come out sounding natural at all, and it looks stupid to boot.

Also, for some reason Richter's voice sounds higher-pitched here even though it's the exact same recording, and it doesn't do much good for his masculinity. Seems they sped it up a bit, perhaps to once again keep things in sync.

  • @Sejr Well, he is 5 years younger.

  • That's the difference between Capcom and Konami. Capcom would jump on the cheesiness until their arteries get so clogged they die. Konami doesn't want their games to be remembered as incredibly cheesy, so they improve on a poorly translated and poorly performed scene, while giving nods to the original.

  • @greekperson0305

I don't mind the cheesiness. I like both of these dialogues equally. Perhaps the scene was poorly translated, but if it wasn't performed so terribly it would've been hilarious while also being serious. They sounded like 10 year olds deepening their voices in the original. That, is what made it bad, cheesy or not.

  • If Dracula is being rude again it will be...

    BELMONT, SON OF A B****!!!

  • or

"To hell with this, GRANT ME POWER!!!!!!!!!!

  • I KNOW!!! LOL!!!!!!!

  • He-he.. I've beated this guy PERFECT (No Damage, No Subweapons), check my playlist. :)

  • Purists back off. If you don't like it, don't watch it. Both are fine.

  • the reason why Dracula is awesome in this. he has his curse of darkness robes fused with his chronicles look to be awesome

the reason why this fail is because the dialog is complete shit and there's no wine/blood to chuck at him.

  • WHAT IS A MAN

  • *tosses wine glass at floor*

"a miserable little pile of secrets!'

    "enough, have at you!"

  • Belmont, son of belmont, great son of belmont, great great son of belmont, great 3x son of belmont, etc.

  • Horrible..just horrible. Still prefer the classic SOTN dialogue.

  • The dialog is so bad I want to shove glass shards in my ears just to stop the bleeding!

  • Is it really worth putting yourself in the hospital for it? No, so shut up and live with it, purist. If you don't like it don't watch it.

  • Pretty sure it is.

  • where's the red wine on Dracula's hand?

  • yeah there was a maria cutscene but its kinda lame..

  • Didn't there use to be the maria cutscene?

  • good, do you have scene where you beat him?

  • I have this game and it kicks my ass....

    lol
