This really sent a chill up my back . Hearing this took me back to my childhood home with all my brothers lying down in the front room in front of our Black and White Delmonico TV set. I can envision every little detail. What a sweet time having all my family together. The safety and security Mom and Dad provided. How I wish I had a time machine.
Haven't seen "Love That Bob" in years. Used to watch the reruns on TBS in the mid- '80s. Good, funny show. Ann B. Davis was terrific as the lovesick Schultzy.
The last time this series was shown on television was back in the 1980's when cable's Christian Broadcasting Network began airing the repeats. It is rarely shown these days.
It ran for four seasons on two major television networks.
(First on NBC-TV for one season from 1955-1956,and from there moved to CBS-TV from 1956-1957,and back to NBC from 1957-1959). Produced by Paul Henning, the series starred Bob Cummings and featured the comedic talents of Ann B. Davis, Nancy Kulp, Rose Marie, and Kathleen Freeman. Rosemary DeCamp played his sister while Dwayne Hickman was his nephew Chuck.
The original opening and closing credits had "Winston" all over it, as R.J. Reynolds was the primary sponsor of the series {the opening had a photo developing into a man and woman smoking Winstons, watching a TV set with the show's title flashing on it, while the closing featured a pack of Winston next to an astray with "Winston" on the front, a cigarette resting in it}. The series was retitled "LOVE THAT BOB" when daytime repeats [through '61] aired on ABC before the series ended, in mid-1959.

@rayssonation - Interesting: The Christian Broadcasting Network aired a show about a man who ran around after every skirt he could find?
