  • if u just have to show your id is it still good for the whole month or just on your b-day?

  • @Grammajoy63 The free medium sub is good on your birthday...enjoy!

  • I just signed up...my bday is almost here,its October 14th..ahhhh!

  • @iamreanne Sweet! Remember, all you have to do is visit Firehouse Subs on your birthday, show an I.D., and bam, you get a free medium celebratory sub of your choice. Enjoy!

  • funny how this never mentioned aaaallll the problems and hoops associated with EMAILING coupons to people. why? duh! cuz there aren't any. so instead of going the same route as 20 other restaurants, you went this way. seems to suggest that your company had other intentions (which is to say, limiting the number of free subs going out the door). at least be honest about it.

  • @freaaa1 – all good points and a few thoughts to help clarify. We offer our core menu item as our birthday freebie – much more substantial than say a free dessert. Because it's so popular, this change will only increase the number of subs given, not limit them. Also, emailing is actually how we started and it only left us with an out-of-date database - as did snail mail. Our customers spoke and we listened. We hope you stop by and enjoy one on us! Thanks for the post.

  • I agree with all the comments. It seems, this is a ploy not to honor birthdays. Most restaurants give you a birthday month to redeem your coupon. It's difficult to go on your exact brithday and Firehouse knows this, that why it was changed.

  • oh shut up and sub me already

  • The card was useable the actual day of your birth isn't. We live out in the country so getting to town is a major outing for us. Unfortunately my B-day was yeaterday on 08/12 and we are not going to town for a while. I don't know how you had so many problems with the card. I did lose it one year but that's my fault not yours. The card worked now no more birthday subs, oh well.

You need to change it back. If postage is the problem change it to a print out with a UPC code for one use.

  • I didn't get a coupon this year and I forgot to go to Firehouse on my birthday (August 5). Looks like I'm out of luck. I'm definitely missing the old way. Why can't I even get an email reminder?

  • @amber19980 We can definitely hook you up with an email reminder. Just visit the Firehouse Subs website and click on Newsletter at the very bottom (in the footer). Just sign up and you'll get an email reminder a few days before your big day!

  • If I miss getting to Firehouse on my birthday do I not get the Bday sub? Could it be changed to show up no later than 30 days after my Bday for the sub?

  • @HappyStrat I agree with you!!!!!

  • @LaDominicana7911 We know no change is seamless, and we appreciate your feedback. Nevertheless, we still want to show our appreciation to our customers and offer a great birthday meal. We hope you'll come in and celebrate with us.

  • Hey, the thing that bothers me about some of the coupon sites is that they say they won't use or give out your personal information but they do. There are sites that ask for your name, day and month of birth. The only reason why they want the year is for demographics. I had one place want to know my household income. Seven eleven even asks for your race lol.

  • Hey, this isn't about any of that stuff. They know pwoplw don't give their real age on those things so they want to check your id.

  • @TheMidnightBell07 Hey, I mispelled people. I'm sorry

  • my birthday was today and all day I was expecting like an email certificate and didnt recieve anything. Now I findout that all i need to do was show up, man im pissed hope they will help me out tomorrow

  • This is a big disappointment. I recommended this program to friends just because of its flexibility (go anytime, pay to upgrade to larger sandwich or combo, friends and family could save postcards and celebrate together, etc). There are better places to go that require that you go on your birthday (for example, free half rack at Sticky Fingers). This is the most restrictive birthday benefit I've seen. I guess this is the end of our Firehouse birthday parties.

  • Well, I did what this video told me to do and I still didn't get a free sandwich and I felt like a stupid person when they said I have to fill out a form online... what gives firehouse? :(

  • no one is going to go out of there way on their birthday to get a sandwich...this is stupid. the coupon was cool because i could use it during my birthday month or w/e. very disappointed.

  • @kbfunkymonkey We hear ya and thanks for the feedback. Yes, the coupon was cool but our customers had a lot of issues with it so we wanted to simplify the process for everyone and STILL offer a substantial birthday freebie.

  • @kbfunkymonkey this is not stupid you close-minded monkey. a free badass sandwich? id go out of my way for that!plus not everyone has the money to go balls-to-the-wall celebrating at a fancy place. great idea and thanks firehouse!

  • @s1ack3rr2 no problem, thank you!

  • lol hes playing MW2

  • aww man, my bday is the june 14th!! and this starts july 1st. :(

  • Question...the card didn't have to be used on actual birthday as most birthday coupons don't. Most restaurants spread the gifts out a week or two. So does this mean you have to be sure to go on the actual date or you lose out? If so, card was much nicer!!

  • @pgmom9 We still want to show our appreciation to our awesome customers and celebrate your big day with you, but we had a lot of issues with the old Birthday Club (trouble signing up, postcards not arriving in time, address changes, theft, etc). These were just a few of the issues our customers told us, so we wanted to simplify the process and still offer a hearty bday sub. While no change is seamless, we hope our new Birthday Sub program will be an easier way for everyone to celebrate!

  • @pgmom9

I agree the coupon was much better. Like you said, you could get the free sub anytime during the time it was valid. NOT just on your birthday. This is pretty inconvenient IMO.

  • lol million dollar check but no helium for your baloon sorry sonny!! heh but seriously all we need is proof that that day is our birthday? what happens if someone goes to all the firehouse subs in the area on his birthday and loads up on free subs?

  • @wesker723 Code red food coma!

  • wow lame. im going to subway now instead

  • @Wayne1986ification Sorry to hear that Wayne! You still get a free sub!

  • @Wayne1986ification $5.00 footlong..... All year long..... Sounds good

  • Now that's funny!
