Just about to finalise buying a 2006 Civic. I have a Hyundai Coupe, but need somthing more practical now I have a little person to transport. I've wanted a Civic since seeing this review a couple of years ago, practical but certainly not "sensible"

TG criticise the ride, but the two I've driven are smooth and really easy to handle. I really like the Civic. The dash, and big red "start" button are a bonus.

Japanese engine, european design Honda made in Europe (UK) would could be a better deal for a quality ride, I wish you could buy it here in US. Japanese make a good powertrain, but europeans make much better design and interior

I got a second hand one of these recently (damn near perfect condition too..so w00t!). Only got the 1.4 basic model, but it's an awesome car.  Great features, good fuel economy, looks awesome....and yes the red button is made of pure win.

My dad bought one of these. It was the 2.2 D. It's got very good at overtaking and the Engine does pull nicely. But as James said in the vid, it can do with more sound insulation and the ride is actually pretty hard, the seats are comfortable but their not brilliant for a long journey if your a passenger. Overall, it is a nice car, it's reliable, it looks, great and it's very practical and the 2.2 would easily do around 55 MPG.
