I would definitely be scared as hell doing this travel, but I would do it anyway. I've always wanted to see the Universe from a point of view other than that from the Earth. Now I'd get to see the Earth. It's definitely something that scares the shit out of me, but I'd do it without hesitation if the occasion was presented.
People die all the time. Every 12 minutes on average, someone in the USA for example; dies in an auto wreck. If I had the money, I would do this. Otherwise, I volunteer. Hello, Virgin. HELLO. Drats... guess they aren't looking for volunteers ;/.
you dont have to go to space to experience weightlesness lol jus go underneath the water in a pool haha ... or you can take a plane that they use to film those movies ... thats how they make it seem like the actors are in space ... the plane goes really high but not in space ... but there is a point up there that you can move around like in space and not be in it haha
Actually, the plane simply descends quick enough to make you weightless, it does not have to be very far up. And for underwater... Well, that's not weightlessness, though astronauts train using their suits underneath water :)
and the plane thing. the plane is going high up in the skyes. and the its falling very fast downwards, your acutally falling inside the plane. but its the same as being wightless
you've got about as much chance of dying, as walking out your driveway and getting hit by a car... if that actually happened to you recently, then uhh... damn... sucks to be you
Thats not what I meant. I would go on it if I was going to die (Not related to space), because I would not want to spend 200k unless I do not care about my finance (Which would happen if I knew I was going to die).
yeah it HAS to be mind blowing. humans shoot a little rocket ship and it goes up off of the earth and disappears in the infinite mass that is space. that's huge.
@PesiCool Yet the Earth is big to us, but in comparison to, say, Jupiter, and the Sun, and the whole Milky Way galaxy, and the entire Universe, it's... even less important than insignificant.
I'd prefer to stay on our green planet...

America's not paying for it; Virgin Group is financing the venture and they are based in the UK.
America is broke because it spends $720 Million EACH DAY on the Iraq War.

All of this is reality.

better money spent than
a wallypower 118. it goes for about
30-40 million dollars and its about 20
thousand just to fill up the tank.
igorcankickyouu 3 years ago
Two hundred thousand bucks. Twenty million and more is for orbital, on the International Space Station. You launch from the Russian facility.

If I was going to die soon, I'd go to space, otherwise no.

Too bad that you will die before you reach anywhere in a few days without enough oxygen/food/water.
akomni 3 years ago
You will die right here on Earth if you don't have enough oxygen/food/water.
