So I was finally listening to this EP, and getting thoroughly blown away by how great it was, especially the earlier version of "Staring at the Sun", which I think is grander, less stripped down than the version on "DY, BTBs."

Then I noticed "Mr. Grieves" and thought, "Cool, a Pixies cover." I put it on and burst out laughing with joy listening to this totally unexpected reinterpretation! I think I love it as much as the Pixies' original version, which is a fucking FEAT let me tell you...

lars, i dont think it so much takes away the feel of the original but instead gives it a completely new feel. thats what makes a great cover. it would b boring if it sounded the exact same way as the pixies did it.
