Well, I really don't think that is a fair argument. If China is to be criticized for its preference of spending money on space technology over power plant, then every other countries should also be judged by the same standard. US, for one thing, should cut down its military spending and spend it on rebuilding the economy, for example. This kind of argument is really overboard, interfering with internal affairs. Give it up for Jackie Chan. He has a good point and many people/politicians are saying the same kind of thing; China is improving rapidly but cannot happen overnight, pollution in China is a problem but it's also a problem in every major city in the world. I would even go further in saying that China is addressing these issues better and faster than the west did, seemingly on their own with constant criticism from some western nations.
