Considering that Amuro is a much better pilot than Heero, it's no surprised they used Amuro. While, of course, Gundam did learn on its own, part was to Amuro being a Newtype which, from what I know, Heero was not. Heero's a wimp, as for this game, it seems like a great game.
Heero did have lots of military training before he piloted, though, so I'd say Amuro's the better pilot considering his results while lacking that training.
it isn't a matter of training, to someone like amuro, Heero is a mook. Amuro is a newtype which gives him an ability to naturally understand whatever ms he is piloting. After Amuro's newtype abilities manifested he was at the point that understanding a ms was like breathing.

i played the japanese version at my friend house, yes the army doesnt't shoot at you but after you complete more levels they start to attack you more. But one thing i don't like is how it's so repetitive
not quite all about Gundam but ACE really did a good job on doing mech fight. This game is nice, yet it's not so good. The mechs (even Zaku in Gundam Seed) won't just stand in front of you in massive number waiting to be SLASH (not shoot). they are not logical at all
whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy is it like dynasty warriors?!?! It saddens me to see a Zaku just stand there and get cut up by a gundam. Love the graphics...hope it has a good story too, but it's definitely not true to how mobile suits react (30 zakus standing to one gundam?)
What did you guys expect from Koei really? All it is is Dynasty Warriors with Gundams. I love Dynasty Warriors. I love Gundam. It is a good combo to me. But the space parts could have been way better. They dropped the ball on that. I guess they were to lazy to make a separate engine for it.
This game isn't all that great, if anything I would rather played DW instead. Gundam games have seriously disappointed me for quite a long while, and this one makes no difference. The only game that has lived of to the name of mechs and space battle is
"Zone of the Enders" and ONLY that. Best damn game I ever played, not the same hack, slash, shoot, "Insert atrocious super attack", repeat, crap I'm seeing here.
I am fucking PUMPED for this to come out in north america!

This is just a dumb game period. plus outer space is like the dumbest battlefield. its like an excuse to not render backgrounds.

I got this game for PS2. The title is Kidou Senshi Gundam Musuo Special. Still the graphic and the gameplay is still same.
