@sclary9889 Just watched the film 7 times in my capacity as choreographer for a B.Bros tribute show.. The reason they work is they're actually quite amateurish, relying on sheer personality! Which belushi has in abundance. But the dancing's pure dance-like-your-dad stuff, out of time and clumsy. Belushi's acting is TERRIBLE!! Akroyd looks embarassed most of the time, BUT IT WORKS!!! that mystical X-FACTOR!!!

I grew up north of NYC and in 1996 I sold a car to Sid McGuinness. It was a Ford Taurus that he was buying for his son who was about 16. It was wild cause I play blues guitar and he's over at my condo complex in the parking lot checking the oil pan and I couldn't figure out who he was though I see him on David Letterman every night. He came back again 3 weeks later to buy it. I met his wife- Susan McGuinness who works for CBS News though I haven't seen her on TV in a while. There are some odd ..

... coincidences. So I asked him who he was and he told me "Late Night" and I said "With David Letterman?" And he broke a smile.... So when we are signing over the paper work in my condo he is checking out my Telecaster in the living room and I play him a Late Night jam track that someone plagerized- it was on one of my Blues Jam Tracks CD's. He thought it was funny. Anyway since I knew few would believe me I saved a photo copy of his check which has his signature and his name/address on it.

The coincidences are that I just got back from spending a week at N. Myrttle Beach and they just openned a house of blues 3 weeks before I was there and Dan Ankroyd was there for openning night but I was there a few weeks later. I met a blues musican Luther Guitar Junior Johnson. I accidently sat at his table and he came over during the break and I bought him a giant cigar. Told Sid about my HOB adventure. Also my Dad used to work for NBC for 30 yrs. I had some NBC stories to share with Sid.

I really love seeing Dan performing the blues. He makes you FEEL it like the GREATS do. He loves the blues and it's obvious every second that he's on stage.

first: blues brothers are my favourite band.then, I have to say: dan aykroyd has never been a dancer nor a singer, but the more the time flows, the worser he does. he's not even good at keeping the tempo while he's singing.
