@TheMrTapthatass No, the transmission has it's own computer which is reprogrammed to alter the shift schedule. Shift points and pressure can be changed, but this tuner does not allow the end user to modify this portion, unlike SCT tuners. The stock transmission tune is great and I don't know why they changed it and didn't give the option to keep the stock transmission tune while using the engine tune.
Nice video.....If i may ask you a couple questions? With The tune you are using......Voids your warranty correct? Also though Numbers you had on your dyno vid is almost money to a roush s/c f150....is it like night and day difference and if you drive the truck normal it shift good?
@TheMrTapthatass The biggest change is the throttle response and the spooling of the turbos. The motor is definitely awake but they transmission tuning is what is making me dislike the change. It does not shift well and it shifts way too early with normal driving, causing the turbos to dump boost and re-spool after each shift.
you should get a custom tune i watched a video of a guy he had a exhaust,cold air intake and turned up his boost and got 90 hp out of it that what you should do that sob would be bad
@colton010 that's what I would like to do, but the only place that offers custom tuning for this truck is Fastlane in Houston. That's a 10 hour haul from my house. I'm doing some dyno pulls tomorrow to see what kind of power I get stock with exhaust and then tuned with exhaust.
sounds kinda risky......is it kinda like a shift kit or valve body hit?
