I'm new in photography and I like it so much . I have a Canon EOS 3000n and I would like to know is this a good camera and could I get with it some good photos...thanks jamie.
@Bmwe38town Thanks for asking. Its not always about the camera. It just records what we see if used correctly. Its a film slr so I think you could get some great photos out of it.
nice video, would be nice if you showed the after effect of your tutorial. So you showed us what you thought would look good but then we dont see how it turned out... just an idea to bring it all together.
I thought you could do a tutorial on how to set the DOF the correct way. I hope you get what im saying, if not, this is the part to read xD
ok.. when u take a seascape picture, with a, lets say, a rock in the foreground, and the ocean in the background, how to configure the focus on both the foreground and background? my idea is to take two pictures. one with the focus on the foreground and one focused on the background. ive tried it before, but no desired resutls..
That is easy no sweat at all. You want to know how to have everything from the foreground to the background in focus right? I'll do something to show how its done this weekend. Thanks for the idea!
Hi. I don't know if you have it all figured out but unless the forground elements (rocks) are really close to the lens, your best bet is focusing on infinity. Even with the lens wide-open, you will be amazed at how close (in landscape terms) you can be and still have proper Depth Of Field. Also, a good camera will have a DOF scale on it and many have DOF Preview buttons or tabs on the lenses.
Thanks for that. I didn't know if anyone would actually find that useful or not. Would it help doing another video showing what photos I would actually take?
I love how the bird noticed you when the camera was pointed at it.

By the way, focusing on infinity is the simplest hyperfocusing setting.

My god about time someone made a video where they actually "do it" rather than talking over stills, showing how its done, AWESOME

absolutely ,
are you on Flickr?

I do have an account on there but most of my recent images go onto my blog. I'll try and do another framing and composition video this weekend.

really good tutorial so Composition is just setting up the shot and how it leads your eye ?
itr0nic 2 years ago
Hi itr0nic,
My apologies for the delay. Yes composition is all about setting up the shot. How it leads your eye is just one part of the composition though. :-)
