  • RIP Steve.... if you would be alive, i would like to thank you for these words.... i saw this first time today, for four times this night, i have tears in my eyes and now, i'm gonna chance my life... step by step, but to do what i love, to follow my instincts and to live every day as it was the last one.... these answers were inside myself all my lifetime, but nessecarely i had to read the story of your life and to see these words, to SEE the truth of life....

  • Steve jobs - The greatest man that ever lived !

    !

  • How big of a faggot must you be to dislike this video?

  • 429 microsoft employees are angry and jealous

  • Rich dude but he's last words were very sad.. it's like he knew he was going to die and he way saying his last goodbye, and passing it on to the new genaration. He made me cry.. may he RIP

  • His words illustrate how tipping points can re-direct our lives in unexpected ways. I am new to the Apple world as I have only owned an apple product for a few years, but during that time of ownership, unexpected worlds have been opened to me through increased and expanded music, audio book, application, and computing uses. I am a proud Apple owner. I own a iPod Classic, iPod Touch, and iPad. The use of these devices has spurred much creativity and filled many leisure hours.

  • Very inspiring !! Thank you!

  • If CEO and companies would think like this, the world would be in a better place great mind sad to have lost him.

  • My idol!!!!!!!

  • Dennis Ritchie invented the first proper programming language and the first proper operating system. Steve Jobs STOLE and REPACKAGED those to sell overpriced products to idiots.

Dennis Ritchie died IN THE SAME MONTH and nobody noticed. Without him there would be

    -NO operating systems (windows/mac-os/linux/....)

    -NO programs

-NO C programming language and no other languages that C inspired

so, you ignorant assholes celebrating a thief,

    SHUT THE FUCK UP

  • @KilluaXIII Wow had no idea. Just looked it up. Amazing man. Thank you!

  • @KilluaXIII kid get a life steve didn't steal anything. He copied and regenerated it to a whole different dimension. Just like math. Someone came up with adding, now look, we are all capable of adding. u r a close minded ignorant asshole who needs to SHUT THE FUCK UP

  • @KilluaXIII Do you really think that 6,653,228 people have watched this video because of his products? Or because he produced the first proper programming language? Your ignorant to think this. In fact I am willing to bet that you haven't even viewed this clip yet. Feel Jobs' words and look at how your living your life because at the end of the day, I bet Dennis Ritchie passed away as peacefully as Steve Jobs did. Peace out.

  • Wow never heard anything in my life so deep and so true

    Robert aka ~Fresh~Young CEO

  • will we ever see someone new like him..

  • how come he never looked at the camera for a second?

  • 425 people don't know how to succeed.

  • Steve jobs speech

  • What an awesome speech so true, you can only connect the dots looking back

  • Оставайтесь голодными! Оставайтесь безрассудными!

  • Он истинный гений нашего времени!!!!!

  • Youownartdotcom create the art work to keep spirit of Steve Jobs. His Speech with his smile

  • Steve jobs died because he was an idiot.

He put of cancer treatment because he thought 'alternative medicine' would save him.

By the time he sought real help the cancer had spread.

That doesn't sound very clever to me.

He's not an inspiration, he was the head of the company who made products you like.

He even didn't design them, your iPhone, your iPod, your Mac, they were all designed by an English guy.

It's pathetic, try idolising somebody who actually made a difference.

  • @RichyBMelodies No sir. You're an idiot. What is it that you do that's so great? Do you create anything that anyone else "likes"? I doubt it. Just a guy on a computer bashing a dead man. You're pretty pathetic if you ask me.

  • @edray02 I don't create anything that anybody likes, I don't do anything great. But neither did Steve Jobs, and idiots like yourself worship him as though he did.

And the only thing I'm bashing about Jobs is the fact that he was stupid enough to seek alternative medicine before conventional ones, a mistake that lead to his death.

The people who really need bashing are people like yourself, who idolise him for absolutely no reason at all, other than the media is telling you to.

  • @RichyBMelodies I don't "worship" Steve Jobs. I just enjoy a couple of Apple's products and found him interesting. That is all. I just think its funny that trolls like you come out and bash a man for a personal decision that has nothing to do with any of us. Do you know how many people die from cancer in this country? A number of them choose to not have conventional treatment. Maybe you should find their families and tell them off as well, Prick.

  • @edray02 The issue is, you, and by you I mean, you and people like you. You like Apple products, but you seem to be under some sort of belief that Steve Jobs is a magical deity who hand crafted each Apple product in his secret laboratory. He didn't invent them, he didn't design them, he didn't design the software, he didn't build the software, he didn't make them.

Apple will continue to make good products now he's dead.

Why you love him so much, I absolutely can not comprehend.

  • This inspired all enthusiastic youth.

  • stay hungry stay foolish <3 R.I.P

  • What an inspiration. He was the person of the decade

  • I will never stop missing Steve. Good or bad, this man lives with me.

  • The one from Standford was removed due to nudity...windows fans be troll'n hard.

  • This video inspires me everyday

  • RIP

  • mabye he should have spoke infront of a high school grads rather then college grads lol

  • 422 people got windows

  • Pixar should make a movie on him

  • @whiteboy7thstaddict So that they can generate PROFIT on brainless consumer zombies, right!

  • i don't like apple stuff but what are you waiting for, put a damn like on this

  • my tip for life is- if you are about to do something which you think might attract ridicule, think to yourself, if i do this, how long will the onlookers remember it or care about it, the answer is usually something like "30 seconds".

  • i recommend to read the biography, bet book i have ever read.

  • The world lost a great designer.

  • Great speech

  • 420 dislikes?? 420 people need to stop smoking and recognize amazing shit when its in front of their face

  • Some lines said bye him is really noticeable nd encouraging .follow some of his experiences to get some success.

  • People are getting over educated but in fact, they haven't got right skills... E.g. as you want to go to music university, you need at least 3 A levels with A grade.... wtf? Also it doesn't matter that you are crap at music and those who are good at music but haven't got right qualifications are just put away.

  • @TheNinjaD12 hey dooshbag with out this man you wouldn't have the computer you just made that comment on!

  • an amazing speech by a spectacular revolutionary guy RIP

  • good video here wow cool

  • he didn't go to college and now he's dead

  • This speech is not for the Stanford graduates, he simply used the stage to tell the world how to succeed. The Standford kids just got the front row seat.

  • @outpostnumberseven very well said

  • @outpostnumberseven it's a commencement speech. lol it's main audience is for the stanford graduates. -.-

  • R.I.P WISEMAN

  • Stay hungry. Stay foolish.

  • i was about to cite "peestandingup" as my source for my paper.... time to find another video lol

  • Great speech. Too bad it was wasted on a bunch of spoiled brats.

  • @Zorgadoni What makes you think you're better than them? Just cause they have money, and you don't, doesn't make a difference. You've missed the point of this speech.

  • @Concretecanvas1

FYI...when I want your lame ass opinion about something...I'll ask for it.

  • @Zorgadoni you asked for it by reading the comments... the main source on youtube for people's opinions...

    derp.

  • @Concretecanvas1

You must be a Stanford spoiled brat alumni...you have all the classic symptoms...arrogance, conceit, snobbery, and condescension.

    Go fuck yourself.

  • @Zorgadoni Wrong. I didn't finish my A levels (last exams in high school over here), let alone go to a university. I've never taken a loan from anyone, and my parents have never given me money (except a small amount of pocket money when I was younger). Condescension... Pot, meet kettle.

  • @Concretecanvas1

Pot to Kettle...the grads are acting like “spoiled brats”...that is not even debatable...and following the rules of deductive logic...we may conclude that...children caught acting like spoiled brats...are most likely spoiled brats.

  • its chilling to hear him talk about death

  • RIP steve jobs!!

  • ART.

  • WWJD? = What Would Jobs Do?

  • I like it how he tells all the Stanford graduates 'you could have been me if you dropped out three-and-a-half years ago.'

  • Genius with a lisp

  • somtimes life hits youin a head with a brick. don't lose faith.

  • I thought these kinds of speeches only happens in movies, turns out I was wrong thumbs up for Steve RIP :D

  • Hearyeee Steve! To live for today and to love for tomorrow is the wisdom of a fool ... for tomorrow is promised to nobody! Therefore Tread every day as a gift and welcome it with a smile :-)

  • So biopsy doctors @11:00 lied--"We cut this out, and you'll be cured of your cancer."

What triggered the cancer obviously was NOT removed & later triggered further trouble. Pancreas is vital to production of GI tract digestive enzymes, & therefore, your entire metabolism. When it fails, you get no nourishment. Powerful drug company tycoon interests have monopolized medicine since 1910 with science funding & regulation that maintains their revenue streams.

  • @oldspammer If it works, is cheap, becomes well known, then it is competition to the drug company monopoly who are run by tycoons who believe strongly in curbing overpopulation by all means necessary: wars, famine, pollution, food contamination, privatizing fresh water, vaccine contamination, bio-warfare agents introduced by vaccines. Cure is labeled "quackery" because it is not controlled by the monopolists, & their experts have already published fraudulent studies to say the cure is useless.

  • @oldspammer One guy was not joking when he said, "I should open a web site and ask 'what cancer cure do you want?'," saying that there are thousands of potential cures with several hundred of them fairly proven for certain types of cancers--none of them involved chemotherapy, surgery, or radiation that kill the patient or spread the cancer or its trigger all throughout the body. These cures are too cheap, cannot be patented, & so will not receive funding for trails. Fake studies brainwash people

  • Wtf does stay hungry stay foolish suppose to mean?

  • @asadsprofile Basically, "stay hungry" means stay motivated, always want something more/greater for yourself. and "stay foolish" is like saying, stay idealistic, stay risky, make mistakes, and learn from them. At least, that's what I take away from the quote.

  • Bill Gates clicked "Dislike" 419 times.

  • @sparlay you must have downsydrome

  • @rsranger2201 u think its funny

  • girl and man so happy dis

  • @freenure fuck off you little bitch I love Steve and if he was here right we both would kick your little fucking ass step off of Steve.

  • Yeah, yeah, tell all that to your workers, many of them waaaay younger than those graduates. Tell them to pursue your dreams and do what you wnat to do.

  • I was once told I was too educated to take risks and succeed in business - this was so true, meaning I knew too much about downside and not enough about opportunity.

Do I detect a mischievous irony in his saying "stay hungry stay foolish" to this audience who will be seriously educated.

  • is that john sculley in the background on the right corner? or is that someone else? because if that is him, that would be very very uncomfortable

  • He died young. But thinking of u'll live over 80s, living in all the weekness with you, u prefer die young or old? He's lucy die young.

  • a beautiful speech

  • this is excellent

  • nice

  • wow that was great. Lol im surprised the university let him talk so freely

  • open new tab

    go here: watch?v=-EQ6eHeBrhM

makes the speech so more meaningful.

  • he couldnt have said anything better ! simply amazing...

  • Wow, what an inspirational speech! I wish I had Steve Job's drive and tenacity! Maybe one day...

R.I.P. Steve, you were one of the greatest!

  • i got a text from my dad at 4 in the morning and it went something like this

'go on youtube asap and watch steve jobs' speech. its amazing and you'll get inspired. i've watched it three times already. its like wine, you take it in slowly'

  • except for cars 2...

  • "Apple's Renaissance"

that is actually a really good way to put it mr. jobs

  • He is basically telling the graduates, that college is useless..

    lol

  • He is telling them how to use their degree.

  • @theaff not really, that is just how he found himself

  • @theaff

LOL, except for the calligraphy course!!!

  • if it wasn't for Steve Jobs, i wouldn't have ever had a job (therefore no close friends, flatmates, or even acquaintances), a successful tech blog, or be happy with what i'm doing.

steve made me want to live for perfection.

  • Its 3am and i'm hungry. Should I stay hungry or should I be foolish and eat some biscuits? What would steve do?

  • @bravesten: Stay hungry and look great! ;-)

  • Wonderful work by Steve Jobs.

  • I got #GOOSEBUMPS!

  • Steve, rip. u will be alive in our mind, n the biography :D

  • you are my hero

  • an alarming number of workers have taken their lives or attempted suicide. At Foxconn the factory that makes iphones research why plz. And you will hate apple for ever

  • @okeistm you realise apple's manufacturers work of their own accord, and when apple's board found out, they were furious. How about you do *your* research?

  • @AndyF1996 that makes it ok for them to keep dooing it saying they were furious wat a joke

  • Inspiring

  • RIP Dennis Ritchie you may not have marketed yourself as well as jobs but you were smarter and changed the world.

  • He set a high mark for all of us who want to be entrepreneurs and change people ‘s lives through their works.

  • I can relate to what he is saying,

  • If you live everyday like its your last, one day.. you'll most surely be right. RIP STEVE JOBS!

  • When he's talking about being dumped by Apple, he's really saying:

    "If I wasn't adopted, I wouldn't be the person I am today."

  • This guy was nothing more than a bully .... a very mean person who enjoyed blasting people who were working hard for him. He lacked maturity.

  • WOW! Those words will follow me for LIFE. Totally moving!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • All those grads probably started thinking, "boy maybe I wasted four years here!"

    Very inspiring motivational speech

  • What's a commencement speech?

  • Subscribe to me and maybe you'll see that gradually happen...Just as a thought.

  • Amazing...Just completely..Amazing! =D RIP STEVE JOBS.. I truly aspire to someone as great as you were, yet as unique as I am. :')

  • "Follow your heart": follow your dreams, your inclination: it sounds good... but in our heart there is both good and evil. How can you know if your heart will lead you in the right direction?

Wouldn't it be better to say: Do what your conscience tells you?

There's a big difference between the two...

  • @1sola1verita I say follow your intuition always

  • @sab628 Many times it's a good thing, but not always ...

Just look around you, in the news, everywhere: so many cases of people who follow their intuition and end up getting badly hurt or even killed.

Intuition is not the same as conscience...

  • @sab628 it depends.....intuition is one thing, free will is another...first don't look at the news, it's distracting from your life purpose. then, read about intuition and see for yourself :D it never ever failed me !

  • 402 people did a speech on Bill gates

  • trueley expireing speach

  • @kyle1234516

Please tell me that was either sarcasm or that you're foreign.

  • This vid helped me out! I will do what I like, fuck what my mother says!

  • @MegistosZeysII That's not exactly what he meant.

  • Definitely the best speech ever !

    Truly inspirational !

  • PC>pancreatic cancer

  • the dots definitely connected backwards with his pancreatic cancer

  • Oh My God.. I may be rude and please excuse me but 11:54 made me think about iDeath.. :D :D This man should be named a person of the decade.. if not of the century... He did change the world and influenced so many people..

  • Can any of you tell me what is the meaning of "Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish"? Thanks in advance.

  • @lethphuc I just see it as "Stay ambitious" and "Stay Foolish" means foolishly follow your dreams no matter what anyone tells your; even if there is a massive amount of risk involved.

  • @Dom213 Thank you very much

  • Obviously you have not lived a full enough life to realize that risk is life. Without it you are already dead!!! Just another sheep in the Flock. Enjoy that!!!

  • @lethphuc In a word, I'd say it means: don't grow up :)

  • why is it so, that if you don't know someone, you'll always search things to know about him when this person passed away... Damn, i wish i would have known him earlier........... RIP Steve Jobs!!!

  • Who in the world would dislike this? I know...the idiots that don't have a clue or sense of value pertaining to the most precious, inspirational, and most valuable things in life. The same idiots that couldn't create something remotely close to an iPad or iPhone if their lives depended on it. Steve put his life and heart out there and the unlikers have no heart or vision.

  • RIP Steve Jobs

  • 399 people hit the Dislike button without hearing these brilliant words.

  • @zerobudgetgamer

    are you sure?

  • when he was alive no one watched his video or even knew who Steve jobs was but he died and then every miraculously knew who he was what a sad site you only get recognition when you die.

  • Sooooo inspiring I read it at skool and now I'm watching it on the iPod RIP Steve Jobs

  • +1 if you watched this on an apple device!

  • Very inspiring...complacency is the worst thing that can happen to a person's creativity and progress.

  • This guy is dead now I think

  • Well done, RIP Steve jobs. Long live apple

  • solid well delivered speech

  • DUDE STEVE JOBS I HAD THE SAME SITUATION IN COLLEGE!!! I DIDN'T SEE IT AS WORTH IT BECAUSE IT WAS SO EXPENSIVE!!

  • dont really know wat to do with my life! this gives me hope that there is something that i am meant to do when the time comes.
