  • Concerning your reasoning about not voting because God will have his way no matter what we do, I don't understand where you're coming from on that. After all, if we applied the same reasoning to our other decisions in life, then wouldn't we just be complacent about everything? Taken to the furthest possible extreme, how could we ever make any conscious decisions if we believed that God would just make everything happen for us no matter what we do? Maybe I just need to pray and meditate more.

  • Well,we have to be active in life certainly, but when it comes to politics I just don't feel that I should concern myself with the affairs of the world. Then again like I said, ultimately we have to hearken to the spirit and to how we are led by our own convictions. However i must make the point again here that as far as I understand the electoral system in America at least, its controlled by special interest. Both parties are are flip sides of the same coin, what choice do we really have anyway?

  • Mkay. As far as candidates go, I vote for style. For instance, I voted against McCain and Palin because they consistently failed to show respect for people who deserved it. They were also unintelligent and generally annoying to me. The electoral process is purely symbolic but symbolism is not without importance.
