I always get a laugh out of this one whenever I see it on TV. How the heck has that duster managed to finagle getting a video chat to work on a Commodore 64?
I also love the ending, not shown in this clip, when the lady's phone starts buzzing and she picks it up and it's playing "Don't you want me baby?!" Hilarious.
they superimposed it into the screen in editing i bet that monitor isnt even real just fitted with green screen so they can add in the old C64 graphics and the video chat window. the KB looks like a C64 KB and the mouse i cant really tell but i think its a MS mouse and the monitor looks like one of those old apple monitors the mini green screen ones.
Well, I kinda understood instinctively that it hadn't *really* hooked a webcam up to that old computer-- I was just speaking in the way someone might speak about anything that any character had done on a TV "show, assuming you've suspended disbelief.
P.S.: Just in case I didn't make myself clear in my previous comment-- of course a Swiffer duster can't *really* hook up a video chat to a Commodore 64, anymore than it can move on its own or feel rejected by its owner.
I know that, but its funny as hell that the woman rejected the feather duster in favor of the swiffer and the feather duster feels sad. i know it cant move on its own or feel sad , its all a gag joke for the ad.
ROFL! I love it - I've seen that ad 100 times and never noticed the good old classic 14+ Million sold Commodore 64 in it. Of course being from the late 80 it fits right in with the 80s theme music.
Looks like DOS running on the monitor in the background of the C64. And a C64 with a webcam? Now I too have seen it all.

It's sad that the Commodore 64 is now being made fun of as a TV prop! Sure it may not be the newest thing but it was advanced in its time.

If I'm not mistaken; I think it's a goof up, and they've got a VIC 20 rather than the C64 for the keyboard.

It's hard to tell but they may have used an Apple //c monitor with it and retouched out the Apple logo... it has the same shape and style.
