What about freedom of speech? It's the same old story, accept something from the government and they "own you." Maybe churches should pay taxes and become free to say what they want.

The "wall of separation between church & state" was a line delivered by Thos. Jefferson to the Danbury Baptists Assoc. to assure them that the STATE wasn't going to establish a church a la King Henry VIII. Mr. Jefferson held no office at the time. Christianity has no influence on members of Congress, quite the contrary. Christians have lost every major court case since 1947: school prayer, Sunday laws, homosexual "marriage," & aborticide.

Council of europe Resolution 1580 (2007): The aim of this report is not to question or to fight a belief -- the right to freedom of belief does not permit that. The aim is to warn against certain tendencies to pass off a belief as science. It is necessary to separate belief from science. It is not a matter of antagonism. Science and belief must be able to coexist. It is not a matter of opposing belief and science, but it is necessary to prevent belief from opposing science.

Wasn't the Beautidutes a public expression of religious expression of Jesus in public. Jesus never condemned public religious expression. He condemn hypocrites praying in the streets so others may see them.

Huckabee is good on his feet. Even if you don't agree with him on everything, it is nice to know he is an independent and articulate person.

He gave pretty good responses. Seems like an intelligent fellow. I'm not sure if America will accept another 'faith-based' president right now though. Bush did alot of damage.

Great interview. Huckabee does such a great job communicating the "touchy" subjects.
Chris Matthews tries to tie Mike into knots with word play but Huckabee had truth on his side apparently.
