i had the e74 and i did xclamp, than later on is failed, i than got it reflowed, 6month later here i am with it again, will it fix it?

is this a permanent fix?

hey i have the e74 1022 and i did the xclamp fix about 8 months ago about 2 weeks ago my xbox e74'ed again and now it does it every 2-3 days will this fix it? or do you think i need to get my board reflowed?

Hello all, I just wanted to tell everyone in doubt, That I have bought a second kit from these guys, 1 for E74 and 1 for rrod, the E74 has been running strong for 2 months now. Ask about the "addition" for this kit. I will NEVER use "screws and washers" again. This kit needs to be sold at Gamestop. I hope you get your patent soon

To add my xbox did have previously rrod but fixed via xclamp now its e74 rather annoying and wont go away. I wish in the 1st place Microsoft addressed this situation of their heat sink and better developed it on launch rather than just sent out a system that was going to break.

This kit is too fix the RROD and E74 it also keeps the motherboard from warping under the GPU.

That is one of the reason that causes all these problems.

wow really. oh hell yea. im gonna get this when i get my check. now i dont hav to keep taking my 360 apart and fix it all the time, bcuz i was just thinking about buying a fan. oh and 1 more thing. do u also get the liquid with the part 2 put on the cpu?

it prevent that part of that mother board or under the gpu form warping under loads of heat. this kit works, i fix my xbox with it and i have purchase this from ebay a number of times. i highly recomend this.

We have tried the HYBRIDS Xclamp fix, and the Xclamps are complicated and do not even work well.

Yours took less than 30 minutes to put on and works great now.

I would clean every bit off if you can,Because that past sitting on the small chips can cause heat build up.Take a tooth pick and magnifying glass and scrape that off around the small chips,Then take you some goo gone or paint thinner,and clean it off.Make sure to clean the heat sink good too.Then apply the plate and heat sink.

Im fixing a friends xbox360 arcade model. I can tell they did the "towel trick" b/c the CPU & GPU's previous thermal past were pancaked off the chips. Now some of that previous thermal past connected with the smaller chips. Will this effect my repair of the E 74 error code?

how did you clean it off the cpu and Gpu? i bought a RROD console to fix but it is hard to get the thermal paste off using alcohol they did the towel trick too.

we been using it for over a year and never had problems.We clean the die with 99% alcohole afterwards.Just use a cuetip and rub it off.
