  • Aw damn.. I heard Fallin In Love on the SiriusXM 70s station and was like holy fuck! Room to breathe! Apparently that's well known though... I didn't know about this new drake song that brought the sample more attention

  • Bosco Money on the Beat! He did all they funky shit! You can hear it in "Ride The B Side"!

  • Pure classic right here

  • Damn, I've been trying to find this on mp3.. I'd love to even find the whole album!!! Taking it back!!!! dope shit..

  • pure dopeness...

  • Amazing beat!

  • even todays tracks are weak compared to the oldschool, especially in the south, where they like wack shit all day long. All the pork musta ruined their hearing.

  • Fuck arguing about anybody, sit back and reminisce you fuckin cunts

  • cassette game

  • banger!!! fuck yeah

  • I knew it! I didn't imagine this at all! Thank you!

  • Bosco Money and Sam Sever embodied hip hop as Downtown Science

  • The beat is airtight but the rhymes are a little primitive.

  • this shit was bangin. this album was thru the roof dope. aint many b-boys today can even come close to orchestrating dope samples like the 80s and 90s era hip-hop. true indeed!!

  • best show I went was KMD, Downtown Science and #rd Base for $2.95 in RI the nigh tafter seeing Gang Starr in Boston.

  • Heard dat mcbzne.... saw the SAME SHOW! AMAZING... I can still see PETE NICE in his chair w/ his cane. It was at ROCKY POINT, Warwick RI. Those were the days... this songs takes me back! Now at 37 w. a family/career/mortgage/stress... Man, I just need some room to breathe....

  • sounds like c.r.e.a.m to me i knew i heard this beat before put it out

  • saw this on Yo! MTV Raps in 1991 along with tons of other great stuff.. what a show..

  • Bosco MY DUDE!!!! I remember writin Graph wit u !!!! BROOKLYN STAND UP!!!

  • wicked ol'skool tune great upload

  • The loop is sampled from the same song as Drakes "Best I Ever Had".

  • Redman used this on his Intro-track "BOBYAHED2DIS"

  • what was he talkin bout at the end?! ".....time & place long forgotten...b-boyhood?!?!?"

  • Isn't Bosco Money a chopper pilot now?

  • CLASSIC track Def Jam in its prime. Love REAL HIP HOP!!

  • Dam i finally found them. i need the "room to breath"

  • These were the first guys who were strictly producers then brought out a rap album. They had some cool beats, but not no good lyrics. Kinda like The Beatnuts

  • The lyrics may not have sounded so good but you need to listen in between the lyrics and understand the message. Aaaaaah man tha dayz of wayback!

  • I agree. They were ok for back then. This and Visit was my shit.

  • @nahlidgabel1

You can't be serious Beatnuts were hilarious, thier lyrics were often ignorance and funny and they worked well their beats.

  • Some of their lyrics were ok. They had SOME funny 1s, but altogether, my 4 yr old niece could kill them in a battle

  • I miss the old days so fucking much. Kids these days have no idea what they missed

  • @HitMan1263

They are going to cringe when they hear Lil Wayne and Gucci Mane in 10-15 years.

  • @HitMan1263 yo im 18 and i jam this joint everyday blown and i like Conscious Hip Hop like aesop rock, sole, and sage francis shit you probably never heard of so kids can know whats up its just the gay main stream head that give our age a horrible taste in rap

  • @dmmiers

  • @dmmiers you're retarded. i'm 20 and swag the classics out a lot but get down on newer shit. aesop and sole are decent, sage is ok. you want our generation's version of this? listen to dead prez or kanye west's newest album. cannibal ox. aesop isn't conscious. he's white and poetic and sometimes touches on social themes. common is conscious.

  • @psarsama1 R u retarded Kanye west is horrible and i already listen to cannibal ox and dead prez. Fuck mainstream and did you really say swag, please stop and sage is okay he makes west look untalented and klls his vocab, so fuck off and go play your kid cuddi bitch

  • @dmmiers Definitely man. Nothing; Absolutely Nothing compares to this nowadays. Music is so fucking bad now its unbelievable.

  • @HitMan1263 Kids these days actually believe their pop-bullshit rap is "hip hop"....absolutely pathetic.

  • @HitMan1263 I do...:S

  • This is the kind of hip hop that makes me wish I could turn back time!!! CLASSIC!!!!

  • Room to breathe..........hardcore beat,phat lyrics,love those strings,bad azz guitar.....listen y'all......yes,yes y'all..

  • the sample of this sond is cool but best i ever had has more variety, this beat get old after the first verse. sample wise i like best i ever had better (boi-1da is sick)

  • What are you talking about? This beat is official. The same thing over and over is called rhythm which is why the rap flowing sounds so good.

  • this is actually better then drakes version because i mostly listen to 1970-1990 hi hop

  • what's drake got to do with this song?

  • @nomevVideos this is better then everything out....period....

  • dude they were both the samething and these guys might have repeated the sample over again but it still sounds hard and boi-1da(he produced besti ever had)he chopped it up and probably played around with it and made itsound good but he didnt change it neither it was the same shit all over again in both songs these guys added some kinda string and boi-1da added a piano but overall they were both the same and repeated it so u cant say only these guys repeated the sample

  • nomevVideos

I need to correct you, boi Ida added a drum machine, not piano, that is the original piano from Fallin In Love, he used the original bass and piano over and over, chopped it up and it's brilliant.

    Other than that, great email...:-)

  • i get that but if you listen to the song on the chorus you hear sometype of piano

  • This song has one of the best samples ever!

  • Agree. In fact, this sounds WAAYY better than Drake's "Best I ever Had"!!

  • not at all, and how many times can u sample one song till it gets weird

  • Post this on Imeem or Project Playlist so I can download it lol.

  • a classic!!!!!

  • in case I haven't mentioned it, I love this song still.

  • oh the good ole days of rap, it was still pretty much underground. I'm glad rap is known and popular now, but it a lot of the rappers coming out suck because they only care about fame.

  • The Sample was "Falling In Love" by Hamilton, Joe Frank and Reynolds. Looped and produced by Bos Money.

  • He used the same semple of "Six Days" by DJ Shadow, didn't he?

  • I use watch this all the time. I study Hip Hop. I use to tell my peeps this sounds like The formula by The D.O.C. ya dig

  • for all the downtown scince fans radioactive is added

  • Now thats that shit

  • I used to run this album. No one knew who these guys were. I nice album. It came out toward the end of Afrocentric rap and before chronic west cost rap blew up.

  • Man, this group and the era that it's from the last days that I call hip-hop. This group, the song, the members were all UNDERATED, but this song along with This Is A Visit, Out There, But In There, Radioactive and Drum Through The Walls: Sam Sever one of the best producers of the era. Bosco, on that MC TEE type of approach, great vocals. Miss this type of cut and the era.........

  • I saw #rd Base, Nice & Smooth and Downtown Science in Quonset Point Rhode Island for $2.95! BEST Show for the money. Right around the same time Gang Starr was in Boston. good summer.

  • falling in love again -hamilton, joe franks & reynolds

  • To all Redman fans, this is the beat he used in the intro to Dare Iz A Darkside. That was an ill way he used that beat.

  • Yeah But Bosco Money Made the beat. Bet ya didn't know that!!!
