NOT AN ACTION BASED GAME? What the ****? This game is almost all action. It's like a movie, low action and many action moments that's make this game so great, It's everythime something else, while your playing the same game.
Thumbs up if you think machinima are stupid because this game as something that no other game does and that is you use every button on your controller and the controller it self I think that is cool.
@boratynm Ethan must go through 4 trials, 3 of them are a little bloody and slightly gory. There is a sex scene (although you cant really see it...) and some nudity in one scene
English voice acting was TERRIBLE. I ended up switching the voices to french and putting on english subtitles. It sounded so much better, and I would recommend doing that to anyone who hasn't played it yet.

This game was excellent. If you liked the previous title by Quantic Dream: "Indigo Prophecy," then "Heavy Rain" will melt your eyes and your mind.
Think "Saw" meets "The Fugitive".
This game pretty much harkens back to the early 90's, when most games coming out were labeled "interactive movies". Quantic Dream is more or less going back to an old format with new technology, and it works.
Amazing game. Some glitches in it, where the controller freezes up, or you can't pick up clues.

I'd like to say to the haters of this game, this game is an interactive experince it's a game about decisions play where you are either morality isn't based on black or white. It's there to see how far you would go to save a person you love. Yes the controls aren't the basic button mashers but that's the point you play so then you get to be in that person's shoes. It's an interactive movie that changes depending on how you play it. The experenice is different for every player.

@SuperSshs your not supposed to enjoy the finger cutting scene, that was the whole point, because if you were to enjoy it. The decision wouldn't linger over your head as something you shouldn't have done. The choice would have been easy.

I think machinima went retarded. Seriously, this deserves a 9.5 if not a 10/10. Most of this review was bullshit (a "-" for being a non action based game?, BAD voice actors, are you kidding me??). I dont have a PS3, but if i got one, Heavy Rain would be the reason for that. I respect this game for the fact that it isn´t a OH HAY LETS GO SHOOT ALIENZ/TERRORISTS/ZOMBIES, but that it actually has a good plot (thing that i see hard to find in games nowadays). So I give this game a 10/10.

Poor voice acting? WTF! Sure it's not the greatest ever but there are much worse examples. Besides, the voice acting is quite good for the game. Some lines to come off as cheesy but that's all.

This game was excellent. If you liked the previous title by Quantic Dream: "Indigo Prophecy," then "Heavy Rain" will melt your eyes and your mind.
Think "Saw" meets "The Fugitive".
This game pretty much harkens back to the early 90's, when most games coming out were labeled "interactive movies". Quantic Dream is more or less going back to an old format with new technology, and it works.
Amazing game. Some glitches in it, where the controller freezes up, or you can't pick up clues.

I'd like to say to the haters of this game, this game is an interactive experince it's a game about decisions play where you are either morality isn't based on black or white. It's there to see how far you would go to save a person you love. Yes the controls aren't the basic button mashers but that's the point you play so then you get to be in that person's shoes. It's an interactive movie that changes depending on how you play it. The experenice is different for every player.

yes its fine avrage but for a story so good as this and for a story based game u really need so strong actors because otherwise it ruins the feel of the game yes the actors are good but the odd bad actor really ruins the mood for that scene
