Is the power band there like it was stock or did you lose power? Ive done a snorkle on my 2008 KLR 650 and had problems with the power band cause it wasnt getting enough air, so I want to try it on my 2002 recon? Thanks
@hondarecon2005 I really liked the mudlites, I have no idea what tires are on the market today but when I got them they were reasonably priced and the performed extremely well in the mud
Why the hell do you have two snorkels. You only need one. @hondarecon97 you don't need to run the vent lines. Just cap them off. The recon only needs the airbox to stay dry. Run PVC pipe into it and make it water tight. Then you done
@blackforestprince harbor freight winch, $50 (figured I could replace it five times before it would cost as much as one Warn winch) plus it saved my ass plenty of times, once with the winch totally submerged
from the factory there are two coming from the differential and rear brake drum (near the same place, on the rearend) the vent lines end at the top of the factory snorkels
From what I rode with them they got great bite, but I sold my ATV pretty soon after I bought them so I never REALLY got a chance to test them out. I want this quad back so bad!! especially now that my driveway needs plowed
yea thy so light and easy to get unstuck and fun to float haha
on ur snorkles, did u have to use some like shop vac hose to get it around the motor? and are the vent lines long enuff to go up the snorkel or do u have to extend it ti make it go?
I had to use flexible line I got from home depot (I think it was refridgerator hose) to extend the vent lines and the snorkels cleared the motor with two 45 degree elbows
I never noticed any ticking except a little from the transmission and maybe the exhaust. If yours still performs fine then I would say its nothing to worry about
the hoses are vents from the rear brake and differential. The recon comes with vent lines from the factory I just extended them up the snorkel so water wouldnt get in the rear brake or differential
i kno. i wish i didnt sell mine.they r so durable that on the last mudrun i did with it, i put about a gallon of water in the intake box.....and it still ran. didnt hydrolock or nothing

how big is the lug on the mudlites?
BUBBAHUMP1 2 years ago
about an inch
xzachx2112 2 years ago
the only mudlites i can find for a recon are the A/T's and thy only 3./4 of an inch
BUBBAHUMP1 2 years ago
thats weird I thought these were very common ATV tires. Go to a powersports dealer and see if they can order them for you, thats what I did
xzachx2112 2 years ago
i mean for our bikes, the only tires tht will fit the recon is the 24in a/t's, once u get to 25 in and up the lug is at least an inch
BUBBAHUMP1 2 years ago
yea all the online sights are the a/t tires with little lugs, thy not bad jus not the size im lookin for
but im really lookin at gbc gators, thy hav a 1in lug and are cheaper
BUBBAHUMP1 2 years ago
My mudlites were 22's or 23's
xzachx2112 2 years ago
22's i think.
do thy get good bite? can u go pretty deep with em?
BUBBAHUMP1 2 years ago

whats that hose on the snorkle for to?
austingagnard 2 years ago
the hoses are vents from the rear brake and differential. The recon comes with vent lines from the factory I just extended them up the snorkel so water wouldnt get in the rear brake or differential
xzachx2112 2 years ago
what are both snorkles for i thought u could only snorkle the pipe and air
austingagnard 2 years ago
both snorkels join together then go to the intake. There are two for maximum airflow
xzachx2112 2 years ago
.....So I sold it today :'(
xzachx2112 2 years ago
