Do you use Stefan Pochman's method? That's the method I am learning and I have just memorized T1, T2, J1, and J2 permutations for the edges. Are the corners any more difficult than the edges?
Hey! Nice solve! I just got my first one a few days ago, I'm so excited. Do you use numbers, shapes, or another method for the memorization? I've been using numbers, but it's kinda hard to translate them back into movements while solving it. Do you have any tips?
I started out using numbers for corners, and letters for edges, but like you said, its too hard to memorize that way. After doing this for a while, you can remember shapes pretty easily. Corner Permutation is easy to memorize, but the Edge Permutation can get messy.
there are two edit points. the first is at 2:25 and the second is at 6:07. before the first and after the second is video in real time, forward. between the two is the backwards video. nice illusion, but only and illusion.
just out of curiosity, what precautions can I take while filming this that would prove to you that I can actually solve blindfolded on a regular basis?
do it in a live format, not recorded video. dude, i've been exposing illusionists like david copperfield and doug henning for years. you're a good illusionist, but nothing more.
better yet, I work at a television station. come to daytona beach and do this backwards solve in front of 4 cameras and witnesses. if you can do it, I will pay for your plane ticket and give you $100. if you fail to solve it, you pay me $100 and pay for your own plane ticket.
all you have to do is memorize the movements. thats why he is looking for specific spots on the cube to place his hand...i think it even says what the turns are in the beginning =P
ok 1. if that were in reverse then he wouldnt have spent two minutes counting the steps in his head and 2. he threw his hat at the end to show the cube... so if that were in reverse that means his hat flew into his hands.... think about it.

lol blindfolded is hell hard but its not fake, its just good memory and knowledge of how to solve the thing in the first place.

If you are serious I would love to come to Florida and do a few blindfold solves.

sorry, I meant to say blindfolded solve, not backwards solve. it's possible, I suppose, but I am skeptical like many others. come and prove yourself.

This man knows how to do it. Any one can do it

i agree

WOW!!
theres no way i could do that
lolamaloanie1 5 years ago
I can do that in under a minute... Just gimme a butter knife.

That is pretty slow, I am using a slow method. Tyson mentioned to me that my EO step is too inefficient.
And no I can't see through that hat, otherwise I would have used a much faster method, haha
reusty2k5 5 years ago
he can see through his hat
madkouz911 5 years ago
that took a while

Anyone could do that in reverse. loser.
