In addition to the comments that you've already gotten with recommendations and suggestions, I think one thing that would really help a bit is to make the models a little more 'roughed up'. Aside from Vader's TIE Fighter, I'd expect to see some old battle scars on the Y-wings for sure, and possibly a bit more on the other two TIE fighters.
This was a very cool 3D animation of the trench run! It synced up really well with the audio. I'm actually doing a drawing demo of the Y-Wing fighter in a few days but you can check out my Jedi Starfighter drawing demo if you like. Let me know what you think!
@DrawingWithGordon Thanks for the comment, and HUGE kudos for your artwork. Excellent technique with your scaling and perpective. Keep up the good work!
the pacing was well done mate, i liked how the camera had a feel like it was a ship awell like in the original movie, the only thing lacking was a bit of debris from the destroyed y-wing, all in all lovely work, do you mess around with ldraw and mlcad by any chance?
Thanks for your posting and input - debris would definitely enhance the effect - I'll work some in my next animation. I haven't heard of Idraw or micad, but will look into them. Thanks again!
this is really nice, well done

Did you forget where the models are? Because I would like to use them if you don't mind.

I can send them to you if you want - do you have Lightwave 3d?
Captainomni 2 years ago
No, i have blender, but i can still use the models in there.
I didn't want to pay $1000 for lightwave
