Ok i agree with this sheikh regarding intoxicants but my question is what about medicines? Some medicines make you drowsy like some cough tinctures etc, and what about morphine which is used as a pain killer and is a derived form heroin? Cannabis can be drunk as a tea mixture and has many beneficial qualities. Is it simply haram if smoked, or is it haram period??
@vikasbhardwaj007 I believe if you take morphine or cough syrup as a medicine prescribed by a legit doctor its not haram, but if you take it because it gets you drowsy / high its obviously haram. Allah knows your intentions and the one taking it knows in his heart if he is taking it for medicinal reasons OR because he wants to get high. I'm from Morocco, nr.1 cannabis producer in the world and everyone here agrees that its haram, only in extremely rare cases, ie. cancer its beneficial.

but we can't deny music is haram, and like the other brother said so is siding with kufr politics. nothing wrong with studying and having an interest in politics, but we must always know that the sharia is the best law and not say other laws are good.
