This was my first time hearing of MBV which I thought was very strange considering I thought I knew it all, hahaha, but boy was I IMPRESSED to the fullest!! They were so awesome. Especially when they rocked out for what seemed like forever just jamming out. That's what real music/musicians sound like!!!! I'm a new fan of theirs!!! Coachella was the shit!!

Horrible. Boring. Had to go to my "happy place" just to survive it. And I'm old. I didn't see anyone enjoying this. Just made The Cure sound even more incredible
A lot of the people on camera don't seem interested. I'm patiently waiting for when I can see them, or at least the new material. This song, the guitar, loudness... I would definitely be feeling the show in those moments. Set list anyone?
donf3lipe... it depends on what type of music you like.
To kids who were at the festival for The Killers or believe The Cure is a happy pop band that only sings "Friday I'm in Love" My Bloody Valentine's sonic assault must have been not only horrible but, in fact, painful.
For those of us old (or twisted) enough to know better... it was pure soundgasm.
But don't worry. There's no hate in your comment. That much is clear.
I am a Newbie to My Bloody Valentine and saw them for the first time at Coachella. I have to admit, I though it was hilarious seeing all the ppl clearing out during their 12 minute fill. Loved every minute of it!
heeee heeee haha yesss I WOULD TO i wish i could have witnessed it in the polo field setting. luckily i saw them back in october in SF :) you're lucky though

Hey MBV fans, if you like the Holocaust bit, then you should love sticking your head inside of a jet engine. Idiots! Why don't you guys try it. I'm all for dirty crazy music, but MBV is about image and being "cool". I hope its worth sacrificing being able to have a conversation with your grandchildren. Also, MBV is the most disrespectful band in the world! Completely ruined the Public Enemy concert for anyone who wasnt at the front. But Im sure you pathetic MBV fans think that's cool, don't you.
that's awesome. I saw they were handing out earplugs before the show, but just like you, I wanted to hear their wall of sound coming down on coachella. It sounded like the earth was collasping.
i'm so anxious to see these guys and i've been to a shitload of concerts but do they play louder than typical bands?

I was thinking the same thing at the performance, but I also remembered that they call it shoegaze for a reason. ;-)

the 15+ minute noise jam at the end was murderously loud, on par with anything Sunn0))) has done. just incredible.

What a great show! And they weren't nearly as loud as they were at the Roxy in 1991, the Palace in '92 or the Santa Monica Civic Center in October.
Yeah, it was funny seeing the newbies flinch at the noise assault being inflicted upon them... ;}*

Me too. It was really easy to tell who was there for MBV and who was just waiting for The Cure.
My favorite act of Coachella. =)

Don't be an idiot - it's not their fault show times ran over. mbv love the 'enemy'.
As for the rest you just sound ignorant.

Thanks for sharing these. The show was amazing. I had earplugs on at the beginning and got rid them so I could fully experience the aural Holocaust.

The dude in the yellow jacket unamused, probably one of the cure fans that wanted MBV to end as early as possible...
but then came the Holocaust during you made me realize!
