IMO, the phase in which the game is, in this video, i say that it has pretty flashy visual effects, but it lacks an active gameplay ... As I saw in the video, the guy with the best and biggest guns wins. Not pretty good, eh ?

About EVE, it's too repetative. Auto-pilot > Click > Auto-pilot > Wait > ... etc.

Just my humble opinion.

EVE is by far a great game, but the thing is it's combat sucks because it's lock and auto shoot, this is all based on skill giving a different, not better but different style of game play.

@Mralec007 Eves combat is not as simple as lock and shoot. A great deal of player skill is needed. It takes time to learn how to properly fly different ships/fittings in Eve.

Saying Eve's combat is just "lock and shoot" is a grossly simplified explanation.

@inviktus1983 could you elaborate and tell us what else you have to do other than "learn to properly fly different ships/fittings"? i seem to find anyone with a common sense could work out good fittings and trial and error also help with fittings. but in a nutshell EVEs combat system is just lock and shoot, oh and orbit, OH and approach. Lets face it, you dont fly the ships, you just tell the game what to do with the ship by right clicking and pressing a button.

@ChrisArnol9010 If you think that's all there is to eve's combat, you are sadly mistaken. If that is all you do when entering into PVP in eve, you will very quickly have your ass handed to you on a plate.

You tube does not allow me room to sufficiently elaborate on the intricacies of eve's combat system. By combat I mean PVP, not PVE, which is just boring as bat shit in any game. It involves an understanding of transversal velocity, angular velocity, intimate knowledge of not just your own...

Not just knowing this information, but knowing what to do with it, figuring out the enemies weaknesses and exploiting them. Not an easy task given the vast array of ships and equipment on offer.

Then you have fleet combat, which is so complex it's almost ridiculous.

No other game offers combat on that scale. Not one.

@kilikman your like one of those recruits that join my corp, you think you "gotten used to game in the trial period" i agree with inviktus, you havn't scratched the surface yet. the learning curve for Eve starts at a slow steady slope for beginners then immediatly sky rockets when you get for real with the game. So basically you gotten used to the tutorial.

What i want out of a space mmo is full ship mods, being able to build one from scratch or bolting stuff on with limitations that can be overcome with upgrades like bigger power cores, additional wiring and so on in incredible detail, each addition should change the look of your ship so no two ships will look the same, might look messy but that dont matter in space

Add EVE and a hint of WoW style raiding & PVP on a massive scale and you prob got the best space mmo eva

The engine was designed to have low graphics for a reason, because the game itself is meant to have hundreds of people fighting over territory, in the same vicinity. Doing this for such a twitch-style game is necessary.

Really disliking this array of JGE vids with 3rd person views only.

I sincerely hope this is because they're still working on nice internal cockpit views but I ultimately wanted JGE to be JGC revamped in GFX and scale which looks to be true but from the vids it looks like they've taken a giant nerf bat to the actual flying/simulation aspect. That's understandable to encourage more people to play but i'm kind of dissapointed. I have a joystick & Track IR I really wanted to use them lol

The game will have cockpit and first person view. Cockpit animations just weren't ready yet when most of this was recorded.

Also, the game has a dampener (flight control) system, which is enabled in all of these video's. You can turn them off and use the Newtonian physics/flight model, which allows you to do much crazier maneuvers. The dampener system is only there to help people get into the game. Ultimately, a pilot using dampeners will be totally annihilated by one without.

LOL ACE ONLINE has pretty horrible graphics (unless u put on filter 9, but then it just becomes blurry and eye hurting) and Ace online gets kinda boring leveling up for hours/days/weeks but the pvp is kinda ok but limited to 3 second cooldown barrel rolls(igear can get past thsi with a special card) and trust me it just kinda sucks :) (Depending on how u play it)
