@Destructor129 Yeah 570s a good card but arma is a massive cpu hog too.

If i were you i would ask on official arma 2 forums.There`s bound to be someone on there with similar setup and they`re a helpfull bunch of people on there.

I was previously running a Q9650 at 4ghz and a gtx280 and i would say arma 2 was the game that benefited least from my upgrade to sandybridge and gtx580.It does seem to run smoother but little or no more fps than before.That may be just down to the ram or the ssd though.

@Destructor129 I`ve had a gtx 580 since they came out and it`s no better than my old gtx280 in arma 2.Oh and i`m running it on a sandybridge setup with a 2600k at 4.8ghz and 8gb of ram.Arma 2 just doesn`t take much advantage of the faster hardware and more cores or ram.

OFP2 is going to be awsome, and you know OFP2 and Arma 2 are related. Actualy Arma 2 was going to be Flashpoint 2 but they desided to change. So OFP2 is going to be Arma 2 just better

the people that made OFP made Arma 1 and 2, and they had to change the name coz of the trademark on OFP. + OFP DR multiplayer is caped at 6 players per team and arma 2 is something like 60+ .

how do you make planes fight? when i make them they just pass eachother and leave the area

Click "Units" then double click on the map, select the type of planes you want and make sure the first plane is the highest rank. Next double click somewhere close to the first plane and make it a private. Repeat as many times as you want. When one "Team" is done select waypoints. and click on where you will be placing the enemy and select "Seek and destroy", "Colomn (close)" and speed "full". Do exact same steps for the other "team".
