then he started laughing and we couldn't stop. Never thought i could do a pull-up while laughing hysterically but it is possible if your life depends on it. As we were hanging there this hippie comes over and says, "are you dudes gonna jump or what?"

This isnt actually the bridge from the movie, yes u may have seen this bridge in a few shots, however the main bridge scene when the were hanging in the bottom was actually in Santa Clarita, CA. One mile east of Magic Mountain. Stay out of Santa Cruz you white trash fuckups.
It is good to know the history of the correct trussel. However, there is movie magic used so it can be easily mistaken. Seeing the movie after again, the bridge shown does seem shorter than the one right by the boardwalk. It was still neat to compare notes and see Santa Cruz and what parts where actually filmed in the movie as opposed to what was not on location. Thank you for clarifying.

omg i just went there a few days ago! i walked across that with my cousin! it was scary and fun at the same time, some gaps were big! that's fun to cross
hey, i have been here too. lived at the end of Branciforte. both ends, actually...and the Esplanade,capitola; moved just before the 1977rain/ floods!... and down around la selva beach you can do this,too.
I walked over this bridge earlier tonight. It was really dark so it was pretty scary. I kept thinking I was going to step in a crack.
I'm also horribly afraid of heights. What was i thinking?
The graffiti that says "This bridge will fall' or something similar didn't help.
