  • I am using your method, but on a poly model of a building. When I apply the connect tool it duplicates the map on the two sides instead of spliting the face! What is the problem in your opinion

  • I was wondering if the "preserve UVs bug" have something to do with the geometry itself.. like quads, tris and ngons. I have the impression that ngons are the cause of big part of texturing troubles. But its just a guess.. im not sure of this at all!

  • all your UV errors ( like when you connect and place the line) can be evaded if you dont merge your unwrap and keep it on the top layer. I dont know if that error is 2011 specific, ut I never encountered it before ín 2010.

  • Usually if I model from a texture and find that stuff doesnt line up, I edit it in paint shop pro and it makes it much easier and less buggy.
