@jamesvideos2000 Milesdavisblackmx5 is me and I don't hate the Boxster because I own one. However, unlike you I live in the real world and have opinions based on real life experiences. The MX5 I used to have is a better driver's car than the Boxster, yes it was not as fast, but much more intuitive.

a turbo boxster would be a very good idea, really, because it would be cheaper than the 911 turbo but at the same time a more powerful option than the boxster s

Yeah, Porsche eventually came out with a turbo 944, so a turbo Boxster seems like another natural progression that would fill a nice niche.

the problem is a turbo boxster would probably be more powerful than a 911 s and porsche wouldnt have the boxster as fast or quicker than the 911, thats why they never fitted a LSD to the boxster 987 s because it would be faster than a 911 cross country (same with the cayman).

yeh exactly it all basically narrows down to the boxster and cayman being mid engined due to it having better balance and stability, its a shame really because the boxster and the cayman have so much more to offer but porsche just wont allow it to contend with the 911!!!!!! i still find the boxster 987 S an amazing car to drive so i really dont mind and its only slightly slower than a 911 S for alot less money.

@freshjive818 Since you mention the Boxster being 'slightly slower', it has more potentential for engine expansion as the wheel base can lengthen to get more torque unlike the 911 where it's engine bay is limited and anything bigger will mean more 'tossing' at the corners. So, this make a great case of why the Cayman needs to SUCCEED the 911, as the 911 has been beaten by the Corvette ZR1 and the Nissan GTR in price and performance.

Watched a vid comparing the speed and manouverability of the 911 to the 987 through a back country road. The 911 just beat out the Boxster by 3/10's of a second. Yeah the 911 is technically faster but dollar for dollar the 987 is my choice.

if you want a car that has a sole and is a true drivers car than it must be porsche! I love these cars. I saw a old man driving a late 1970's 911 on christmas and he was all smiles that is what porsche is all about.
