Hey I got this grill for only 399 bucks at costco last year. So far I can't complain. I have used it to cook pizza from papa murphy's on a pizza stone. Both regular and stuffed. Steaks all the time. Temp probe is awesome and will be cooking a rib-roast on it tonight with applewood smoke in the smoker. Can't really complain about that I quess.
And their website still isn't finished. If anyone knows how to set the language please tell me... I've lost the manual, and it's saying something in spanish about consulting the manual. Stupid computerized BBQ.
I have an iQue grill. The computer is absolute garbage. It resets to spanish all the time, it barely works. If it gets wet or even slightly soiled the touch screen stops working. Don't fall for this gimick. Mind you when it DOES work, it works great (overcooks a little bit, so I always adjust for this by taking it off a couple degrees before it says)
I work for the company that built all the temperature sensors for this grill and I can tell you they didn't skimp on the quality. They had several options to choose from and opted for the higher quality parts all around. They have a great commitment to customer satisfaction.
Seems like it takes all the fun out of bbqing. Replaces the skill of being able to a perfect steak with the hasstle of trying to program a video screen. It makes bbq'ing seem like working a photocopier. I'll stick to quality pro grills from companies like Weber and Napoleon thanks.
You've got a good point. But I think it just depends on how you use the grill. we cook dinner almost every day on our grill instead of in the kitchen. It's cleaner and tastes bettr. Anything that gets me that faster and easier is a good thing.
Sorta like stick versus automatic. I like to drive a stick, but it sucks in day to day traffic.
I'm waiting for a review of this. So far, I can't find one. I did find something on Consumer Reports for the Blue Ember tho.
This grill is pretty spiffy. I can't even imagine having a grill that can do that much for me. It almost too good to be true. Does it really work? Is it really as accurate as it says?
It is the worst purchase I ever made.... should have bought a Weber :(

We have this bbq and it is amazing! And whoever said it takes the "fun" out of bbq'ing has never used the iQue! It's a hoot! We love it!

Looks great. Knowing I can get the same results every time I grill is well worth it. Can't wait to find these in stores.

I'll soon be in the market for a new grill. Where will I be able to buy one? Will Blue Ember sell direct? I'm really tired of burning food.

That's a pretty cool grill. The temperature zone thing is cool, but having a real fuel gauge is worth it. What does it cost?
