The women and children in the KC jail were not burned. They were imprisioned and the jail collapsed. There is considerable debate if the jail was sabotaged. But there is no evidence to suggest foul play by Jayhawkers.
Missourians did start the conflicts in Bleeding Kansas. Missourians rigged elections in KS in 1856 and oppressed anti-slavery people. Kansans were upset and responded with violence in KS and MO. If the European Union spent as much procent of her budget for Defence as America did, we would have a bigger army than America, so it doesn't say all.
But you know, maybe you should spent less on military and more on social welfare. If America is such a rich country and "owns" so much, then why do so much people in USA live under the poverty line, he? You won't see this in Belgium, Holland, Germany, Ireland, Denmark, etc. It's the American mentality of "me, me, me" that makes me dislike USA

I would hope that you don't hate the US though because it's different. I like and respect European values, but I prefer American ones. There are not right or wrong values or morals, just differet ones. What works for Europe might not work for the US and vice-versa.

first of all blow me, second i didnt just say it was funding i said there where incentives to keep them union, and yes one of them was FUNDING, you think he just said dont do it and they didn't, no.jesus, also you have to understand yeah it does hurt them because slavery is being outed and thus their economic situation was failing mizzou needed to stay with the union because there economic situation was critical, im not saying it was only that there where others i just named 1.

I don't think either Mizzou or Kansas has a whole lot to brag about with the football programs. Recent success don't mean much unless you can back it up with decades of excellence. Kansas basketball though is more than worthy and I would put their program up against anyone.I hope continued success for Kansas in football-and fuck Missouri. I never said they weren't a Union State. Missouri was one of the "border states," or states that stayed in the Union but still allowed slavery. The others were Kentucky, West Virginia, Maryland and Delaware.
About half of Missourians wanted to join the Confederacy, the other half wanted to stay in the Union. But 99% of Missourians supported slavery. Whereas about 1% of Kansans did.

umm no bud your wrong mizzou claimed they where a union state however this proved false for the majority supported slavery, and you want to know why, economic, mizzou's econ was so tied up in slavery that they couldn't imagine life without it and after the compromise of 1820 the to 1854 mizzou pressed for slavery and also resorted to raiding a neighbor state in hopes to ensure this future. both sides where guilty of violence but if you want to be technical it was mizzou that pressed violence.

Just because most Missourians supported slavery, that doesnt' mean they were a Confederate state. Missouri never left the Union. They wanted to, but Lincoln skillfully manipulated the border states (MO, KY, WV, DE, MD) into staying in the Union.

you can say what you want but one of the only ways Lincoln was able to keep them in the union was by threats and cutting of any kind of state funding ect. and you can say what you want i've done alot in terms of research and i will say that yes not everyone in missouri was for it but the state alone was so dependent on it for economic reasons that it became culturally sound "for them" as well as vital to their economy however a majority was for this thus in my mind they where collectively for it

First of all, learn puncuation. Second of all, I think we're in agreement that Missouri depended on slave labor and was bad. But it makes no sense to say Lincoln kept them in the Union or else he would cut off state funding! If Missouri left the Union, of course they wouldn't get federal funding! That's not much of a threat on Lincoln's part.
