I have often thought that if Africa is becoming less desirable a place for Afrikaners to live, they may feel at home in Canada. I am not trying to weaken the Afrikaner's attachment to Africa, but I do believe that if he needs space and freedom, he can find it in my country, and he's welcome here.'
I think that certain attitudes are best left in Africa, but if the Afrikaner chooses to speak his own language, practice own his faith, and marry among his own, Canada has no problem with that.

Yes recent economic growth in some Africa very encouraging unfortunately much of that is still in extractive sector mines and oil etc..just like in colonial times with little value being added as to % growth this tells us little... if I have 10 (Africa) and I add one then growth is 10%... if I have 1000 (West) and I add 85 I grow by 8.5% a smaller percentage but a much larger net growth... I thought you worked for a hedge fund you should know this and able to follow along.

nothing came from taking the farms , the old farm is now just lying there with nothing on it other than some of my grandfathers old handwork.. so my definition of the blacks " taking " the farm was more a riot to have it and to prove a point but not that they actually want to farm there and build the nation.... I'm not saying this to make blacks look bad but the lifestyle of the black tribes is much different and leaving them alone was probably the best option. Of course the british back then colonized much of the african soil. which in result caused landlessness for the tribes, that had nothing to do with the Boer. So people should stop blaming the Boer.
