...I was curious, what kind of bread you eat at morning when you are not eating your different types of breakfast ^_^? Cause you are really in a good shape and I'm sure you don't eat all purpose flour all the time. I smashed tofu, with the flour, baking soda and powder and a little olive oil,but I changed that from a tofu banana bread. If I may request you to make my recipe better or teach us a very low fat tofu bread I appreciate, whenever, even in years to come, I know you're buzy ^_^
@vegananimalobsession I actually do mix miso & tamari together sometimes :) for a really strong, salty sauce. I don't eat bread in the morning, I cook whole grains (buckwheat, steel cut oats, brown rice, quinoa, etc). Try it, you might like it :)
Just perfect Heather, your name actually sounds like "Healthy" and we can see that ^_^
Thanks so much for this video, today I'll buy sesame oil (unbaked type cause I have baked here, easy to find in Japan), the wakame, peanuts butter and all.
Nice tip about the misso and soy sauce. I'm not japanese and I never got for example why they have misso lamen and shoyu lamen and never mixed. But did you mean they can't be used together at all?
Heather I made tofu bread with whole wheat flour and...
Eating this right now, its really good! I used quinoa instead of rice. Next time I will definitely add whole peanuts to it! You have really inspired a once meat eater to turn vegan. I've tried a few of your'e recipes and they were all very easy and delicious. Thank you!
@37mamak extra peanut sauce is always nice! You can use it as a dipping sauce too, for the thai fresh rolls I posted a while back. It would keep about a week. I wouldn't trust it longer than that...
@37mamak Absolutely - though if it's a thick-bottomed pan it won't cook quite the same way. I would just saute this on med-high, as normal, and drizzle the peanut sauce over it. It won't technically be a stir-fry, but it'll be yummy!!!
I make a version of this. I use stir fried spring greens, kale, red cabbage. I start with onion and garlic, add the other veggies, once they are turning, I add a big dollop of peanut butter, soy sauce, fresh chilli, and a teaspoon of chinese five spice powder. Mix well and throw in fresh corriander at the end. Yummy satay greens :o)
@CelestiaAmare GREAT QUESTION!!! I can't go into all the details in every video, but I always use natural peanut butter. The only ingredients should be - peanuts. This is the kind that comes with a bit of oil at the top of the jar, all you need to do is stir it in, store it in the fridge and it doesn't usually separate again. They're more popular now though, so hopefully you can find some... so much tastier and makes a MUCH better sauce!
Totally, I never follow recipes either!! I can't even follow my own most of the time... I find it much more fun to be creative as I go, which is why I write out my recipes after I cook them for the videos. I definitely encourage experimentation, and would love to hear about variations people come up with!
Yes - I use a tiny amount of oil at the beginning to seal the vegetables, and then a tablespoon or so of water at the very end. This finishes the cooking process by steaming the veggies.

Looks great. I usually just stir fry whole nuts. Brazils, cashews and peanuts are great in a stir fry like that.

Great idea on using whole nuts!! Eating food as fresh and whole as possible is the best way to get the most nutrition - thanks for posting the tip!
