The original run of this series was in the 1970's but it was certainly repeated some time in the early 1980s, one episode was definately shown on the 24th of august as it was my birthday and i remember watching it, by strange coincidence it was the episode where it was also chorltons birthday! i was at my grandmothers in gelligaer at the time as she thought it was funny, but i cant remember the actual year, it was either 1983 or 1984, if anyone out there knows please can someone tell me!

Im always amazed how they got away with this show it was pretty racist really. I watched a full episode about a year ago and they had these sneaky chinese mushrooms (hiroshima) and a german spell book with the star of david on it !! and the welsh evil wizard, then they had this irish telescope so basically they were saying the welsh are evil, chinese are sneaky, germans are associated with judaismirish and the irish are stupid hhmmmmmm try doing that these days you would get lynched.
