Your right & wrong. This is the second half of Barbra's singing career. The half where she wanted to appeal to a younger audience. Popularity wise she was a smash, artistically not as much as the first half. The first half was the unbelieveable, incredible, unstoppable Streisand, artistically brilliant & popular as well, but more with a middle of the road crowd. If you look at her earlier work it is simply stunning & spellbinding, an original, no one like her.

"Love Comes From Unexpected Places" was written by Kim Carnes and her husband Dave Ellingson. Kim recorded in 1976 (Sailin' album) and the song won the American Song Festival and Tokyo Song Festival.

Streisand recorded it for Superman album (1977) and she wanted this song on her movie "Looking For Mr. Goodbar". Barbra would recorded others 2 Carnes' songs: "Stay Away" (Songbird album) and "Make No Mistake, He's Mine" (duet with Kim Carnes - from Emotion album).
