  • You're looking for Keith Mansfield. Pull up the wikipedia article to see more about it. Also search for "Keith Mansfield Funky Fanfare" to hear the whole song. I know what you mean by it getting stuck in your head sometimes. It's a jammin' track.

  • Is there anywhere I can download this?

  • they should use for every movie

  • I saw this in Grindhouse.

  • OUR FEATURE PRESENTATION

  • I love these old bumpers. I wish someone would post some of the older movie bumpers from the late 60s and early 70s. There was one "Prevues of Coming Attractions" one in which the lettering was in a passageway, and another one that had spotlights moving around. If anyone could post these I would be very grateful. Thanks

  • wasn't this also used in grindhouse??

  • Yep. This vid was uploaded become Grindhouse came out though

  • It's so fuckin' cool a jingle that I made my ringtone out of it !!

  • Uh, that's a really awesome idea.

  • im sorry when i saw this, it scared the crap out of me. it makes me think of how old tech. worked and how its so stone age that its creepy.. but thats why i kinda like it because it makes me think

  • I well remember that same background pattern, but used with different music (synthesizer) and the words "Now Playing, Consolidated's Varsity Theater".

  • Oh that's fucking cool!

  • i don't know why i love this so much :D

  • everybody loves this because it's cool as hell, correct me if im wrong but u get a certain feelin when u hear this joint that makes u wanna hear it over and over, i got it on mp3 and as a ringtone on my cel... everybody loves it specially if ur a Quentin Tarantino fan...

    Peace

  • i need this as a ring tone^^ where did you get it?

  • Tarantino is a genius!!! Whenever I see this before his films, it gets me SOOOO pumped for it, because its so original!!!

    I LVOE IT!!!

  • Hey Dange Mouse sampled this on "Old School" by Mf Doom and Talib Kweli

  • Anyone know how I can get the mp3 for this to make a ringtone?

  • I hate when people credit Tarantino with all his great music, and this particular intro. I love his movies, but he doesn't have any original music in his movies. All of it comes from blaxploitation films from the 70s. All I'm saying is that people should have some appreciation for what he is basing his work off of rather than praising him as some exploitaion cinema god.

  • I agree with you andTarantino admits to it, he isn't a fan of original music. He finds music that flows with a scene, that is what makes him genius. You're right people should appreciate that a lot of the music comes from 70s blaxploitation and other films.

  • Tarantino is a cinema god, but not for that reason.

  • What's gonna make or break Tarantino for me is his remake of The Inglorious Bastards, he also better not go anywhere near Faster Pussycat Kill Kill because he would probably ruin it.

  • Its not a remake, its a movie inspired by Inglorious Bastards, thats why the name is changed.

  • this is from the 70's not 60's

  • @yellowwasp09

it is from the 70's at drive in theaters yellowwasp09

  • God who else would think of looking for this? U really can find anything online

  • I keep trying to post my rapidshare link to the freaking song but it won't let me. Argh!! what the hell? I'll just put it on my youtube page. Download it there. It's the Keith Mansfield Orchestra version, right in the middle.

  • blahblahbalh

  • I NEVER thought I would ever hear and see that again!!! That brings back some memories. Thanks

  • tarantino rules

  • Tony Newman - Soul Thing. Great song

I DO NOT HAVE THIS ANY LONGER.

Please just get a copy of Kill Bill, Vol. 1 and rip this for yourself.

  • @MrGreen428 You don't have to break the law to get this. Search "Our Feature Presentation" on goggle and you'll find a website called Internet Archives or archives.org and you can download it there free and legally.

  • these were real huh.

  • that classic bumper is also featured in Grindhouse.

  • because i was high... sorry lol

  • Oh, I would love to have this as an file.... avi or what ever... Is it possibel?

    Cheers

  • "The Beyond"...attack dickie! Attack!

  • FYI, this trailer (they're called "snipes", actually), is from the early '70s and was made by National Screen Service, who supplied exhibitors with promotional materials (ie. posters, trailers, etc.)

Anyone who was a projectionists back then remembers these QUITE well.

  • Cannibal Holocaust anybody?

  • Still looking for a full-frame variation of this, I've seen simular types that use the background, but often had text popping up stating things like "starts friday" or such.

  • Full-frame? You mean 4:3 not 16:9? I can send you one if you want.

  • That wuld be nice! Yes, I would've meant to say 4:3, but often get too less technical with whatever they like to call it on DVD cases in layman's terms. :-)

  • The best thing to do would be to get a DVD of Kill Bill and copy the first part, then pan and scan it to 4:3. If you cannot do this then email me at MrGreen428@gmail.com and I'll find a way to give it to you.

  • That's OK, I don't want to bother your time.

  • Hey Mr Green! Where you a school teacher at one point? I know it sounds stupid but i must know.

  • Haha, no, I wasn't. Why would you think that?

  • Do you know where I can get an MP3 or something of the music?

  • Yes, you can purchase LimeWire or download the basic trial, and search for Feature Presentation under Audio. It should come up for sure.

  • Hey, Mr. Green, if I forwarded you my e-mail, could I get a .mov or .mpg copy of this vid?

  • Did you ever get the copy of the video heart1987 because I have it if you want.

  • hey can i get this too? i am doing a video for one of my classes and would really like this title.

  • Sorry guys, I don't know why it looks so bad.

  • God, I was born in the wrong decade...

  • RIGHT ON!!!...
