It was funny. I am sure it has been a lot better for you in the last two years? I am thinking of getting an easy glider and mounting a motor on top to fly off my lake. This way I could take the flying boat approach instead of floats. Do you think this would work out. I could just go for the easy star, but I like the larger wing and stock ailerons of the glider.

Im sure it would work putting a motor on top, You just have to be carefull with the center of gravity and the angle of the motor. Your motor would be higher off the water surface so maybe its better. Be sure to test fly it a lot before you put your camera on cause you dont want to get it wet. Also get bigger floats than mine. there is another video of an easyglider of floats that flys really well. I'll send you the link.

most of these planes wheren't made for onboard videos aswell, and now everyone is doing it.

When i did my first onboard video 3 years ago you can imagine how many people told me i was crazy to put a camera in it.

Also i like trying out new stuff, I love a chalange, like puting floats on a glider,,,,

I actually kept on repairing the EG which is easy to repair,,,just some super glue, but after a while a bought a new one cause it looked really dirty and old, lol, so the video was made of 2 EG. Now i've covered it with oracover film so it looks better. You will love the EG and if you put a brushless motor it's amazing how fast and hight it can fly.

Don't you know that the salt water conduct electricity way better than the normal lake water?

So maybe you are safe at around 12V in lake waters but in ocean stay away with electricity.

Dont fly around yourself, then you find the obstacles too late. So you have to see the whole sector while standing in one position. Fly the plane high enough to have time to fix flying errors, and fly far enough so that plane doesnt fly over your head. Thats the worst place to know the plane position. 20- 50m is good distance to fly plane away from yourself. Fly from left to right in the sector and circle around but do not come too close not too far.

Dont begin with any extreme stuff, like lake/sea flying. Find safe place, without any poles or electricity cables and other people. Then plan the sector to fly.

Actually im happy to say that these videos are a few of the crushes i had during the first two years of flying so now i have improved.

My last crash was a mid-air colusion with another glider which broke mine in two and destroyed my photo camera (300euros). Unfortunately i was able to save the movie.

flight sim is good for learning left and right but you dont have the stress of braking your plane, or the real weather conditions, but its still better than trying to learn like i did all on my own. a simulator would have been cheaper....
