I miss the 1990,s the days before reality tv and broken britian..! I,ve seen blobby land on here its all run down and over grown.!what a sad thing to see! Im not sure about the bunker I think it was just behind this beach I think..!! And the caravan site was just up the road from burnham on sea I think it was called forgive my spelling. It was such along time ago now.
@c6gav Economics can be such a depressing thing! I believe Blobby Land closed because it was n't getting enough visitors to make a profit for the owners. From your description. It could have been one of the caravan sites at the much larger resort of Brean that you stayed at. There are still examples to be seen of old war time look out posts along the coast, Some are concrete while others are made from local large pebbles
I can remember sitting on that beach as a kid looking over to barry in 1992. I stayed in a caravan site not sure what it was called now..!! Home farm or sumit..! You ad noel,s house party on tv in those days blobby land just down the road.It was great fun. Dose anyone know if that concreat bunker is still there just off the beach. is it still there and do you know what it was used for..!
@c6gav Memories eh? It can be good to look back sometimes! It was intereting for me to see this video again as I have just uploded another in the same area, no snow this time but with rainbows and steam trains. There is a concrete lookout tower built in wartime situated above the harbour if that is the one you remember. If you have the time I have uploaded lots of videos in the Watchet area and you may see other places you remember
Who needs Attenborough when we got you Mike? Lovely couple of films of your local area.Pity Britannia wasn't running when you were on the bridge. Never mind. the scenery would all change again in a few months time.......Tim.
@siobhan104 Brr! It makes me feel cold seeing this again in the Summer! Not that we have had a good Summer here yet! Just a few good days.Hopefully a longer period of sunshine will start soon!
Another very interesting walk along the sea front with your soothing narration, and as you say, it's so strange to see the coastline covered in snow, but beautiful never the less...excellent work...Bob
Interesting. Not our bit of Wales I suppose, that is visible? By the way, if sheep follow you it's for food! They get fed this time of year, and being of limited understanding, they think you are the provider for the day! . . . . Alan
@balmesh Hi Alan. Our nearest Welsh neighbour is Barry in South Wales with the two TV aerials behind.. The power station is at Abarthaw. On a good day with binoculars we can see the coastal buldings quite clearly.i think you are right about the sheep!

very nice Mike
the snow puts a nice touch
Like here in canada I love the four seasons
the change is nice. Love walking in the winter I don't mind the cold
you just dress for it and away ya go.

@canvids1 In the Uk we dont get snow every winter so it can be a novelty for us when it does come, especially at Christmas!
