@Aknight292 While my team is struggling big time right now, I take pleasure in a couple things. First, that we will slowly get better as our schedule gets easier (for the most part). Right now, BYU has the #4 most difficult schedule in the country according to Sagarin. Meanwhile, Utah's SOS is in the 90's. They've had a cupcake schedule with their 4 games up to this point, including 3 at home. But your undefeated streak will come to an end sometime during the AF, TCU, and Notre Dame games.

I think what most byu fans fail to recognize is that our play in every phase of the game is better than it normally is this early in the season. Aside from offense and defense, our special teams has been probably the best in the country so far if you take away those two blocked punts in week 1 and 2. Even the qb who plays for san jose state gave our team major props, and his team has already played two teams this year in Wisconsin and Alabama. Our team is good, you'll see in November.
@merrillkiz Nobody says the Utes aren't good. What I'm saying is, any Ute fan who thinks they are going undefeated this year is fooling themselves. You guys won't really be tested until you get to the Air Force game in late October. And you may even win that one, considering the Falcons are usually not as good later in the year and Kyle is good at having his team ready. But there is no way you'll beat TCU, even at home. And going to Notre Dame the week after those two games will be tough.

@Aknight292 While my team is struggling big time right now, I take pleasure in a couple things. First, that we will slowly get better as our schedule gets easier (for the most part). Right now, BYU has the #4 most difficult schedule in the country according to Sagarin. Meanwhile, Utah's SOS is in the 90's. They've had a cupcake schedule with their 4 games up to this point, including 3 at home. But your undefeated streak will come to an end sometime during the AF, TCU, and Notre Dame games.

There is no way the Utes will get through that 3 game stretch without at least 1 loss. They can't afford to look past Air Force this year in order to prepare more for TCU. And while I'd usually think they could beat a modern day Notre Dame team, it will be tough playing there after the two previous games.

I think what most byu fans fail to recognize is that our play in every phase of the game is better than it normally is this early in the season. Aside from offense and defense, our special teams has been probably the best in the country so far if you take away those two blocked punts in week 1 and 2. Even the qb who plays for san jose state gave our team major props, and his team has already played two teams this year in Wisconsin and Alabama. Our team is good, you'll see in November.

Wife of Utah football coach hit in the face:
ABC 4 News a fight at the BYU/Utah game that shook up the wife of the Utes Football Coach Kyle Whittingham. Jamie Whittingham was elbowed in the face at the BYU/Utah game over the weekend in Provo. ABC 4 has obtained pictures of the incident. Apparently she was walking her disabled daughter out of the stadium when this Drunk BYU student called her a cunt and grabbed her daughters private parts and then he threw up on the coaches whole family.

This is the stuff I got over this whole rilvalry. It's kind of interesting:
1. Max Hall's comments on the University.
2. His family and friends having beer poured on them.
3. Ute fans doing sex acts on a blow up doll with Max's mom's face on it.
4. Kyle Whittingham's son and wife getting banged up after the '09 game.
5. My brother, #83 on BYU, getting called nasty things while leaving the stadium and being spit upon.
6. Two years ago there was a stabbing after the game...Both teams. Wow.

Are there decent Ute fans? Of course. Are there a lot that represent Hall's comments perfectly. No doubt. I don't know any Ute fans who wouldn't be able to take their kid to a BYU-Utah game in Provo. I don't know a single BYU fan (or Ute fan either for that matter) who could in good conscience take a kid to a BYU-Utah game in Salt Lake. In that sense, Hall is right on the money.

Nobody should have to tolerate their family having beer spilt on them, spit on, their religion insulted, etc. Me and my buddies will be at Rice Eccles next year for the game and we would just LOVE for some Ute fans to try that with us.

I've never been to the holy war in provo but I can only imagine similar situations towards ute fans, and i would be prepared to live with it as well. oh and what you said about LOVING ute fans to try it on you, thats great but just remember how outnumbered you are, just sayin...

There are bad apples amongst BYU fans too but there not as near as many of them as amongst the Ute fan base nor are they as bad. The behavior amongst the Ute bad apples is far worse, far more bitter, and far more vile. And a big reason for that is, besides them being drunk, is the fact that many of them are more BYU haters than true Ute fans.

You should see the latest news reports on this. She was not punched. In fact, she was not even involved in the scuffle. It was between a BYU fan and a Ute fan nearby and pictures were taken of the whole thing. Whittingham's wife was nearby but she wasn't involved. Get your facts straight.

I'm a University of Utah grad and also active in the Church and it disgusts me what Max Hall had to say. Talk about having NO CLASS or sportsmanship for that matter. What happened to Christ's teachings of turn the other cheek? You go to church on Sunday, then tell the world you HATE a certain group of people. Nice.

ok first of all, that is the biggest load of shit! i am a student at the university of utah. and rice eccles stadium is a dry stadium, you cant buy beer in the stadium, and it is very hard to sneak beer into the stadium, and even if you did manage to sneak in beer, why would you waste it by dumping it on someone?

Krugers interview was with EsPn before the byu Utah game. He was talking about the rivalry and how he doesn't like byu, what they represent, and especially their attitude. Which is basically the same thing. We just don't over exaggerate the issue.
