  • use mechanics gloves they have normally have a velcro wriststrap and fit tighter to your hand than gardening gloves, Just use velcro to attach pucks its allows you to move and replace your pucks easily, and it also takes much less time to do, profit

  • What kind of wheels do you have when your sliding in the video?

  • Man...u could easy cut this with those Soldering Iron tools wich is very cheap

  • You should make a how to on the sweet spot on trucks, i am constantly getting wobbles and i think my trucks arnt right. its starting to tick me off =O

  • @MrClaybear27 wobbles= 90% rider and %10 gear, just skate slow at first and work your way up to the bigger hills

  • @Originalskateboards What kinds of wheels would you recommend for learning to power slide?

  • could you use a normal hair dryer to heat the glue or wouldn't it be hot enough?

  • @joshmedina4 a regular hair dryer would not get hot enough. If you can't use a heat gun you can also use Velcro!

  • @Originalskateboards sick, i'm gonna go out and get some velcro now! thanks for the help :)

  • is this where you guys package up and send out all the longboards that have been brought ?

  • @evryfingandanyfing1 yes! Our shop has grown a bit since this video though!

  • about how long did it take you to glue all the pieces

  • and if you want you could put some velcrow or really any type of strap around the wrist areas so help your gloves stay on a little better

  • NAME OF THE SONG?

  • MAKE MORE HOW-TO'S!!!!!!!!!

  • @MrAwsomedude231 What how-to's would you like for us to make?

  • @Originalskateboards things like how you make your equipment not really just how to's but also videos like a day in the life at your shop, how to make your own edited video, u no not just longboard videos. it would make your channel that much better, thxs

  • @Originalskateboards Hey Original, i'm new to longboarding and this comment gave me the idea of requesting a video maybe based of trick tips such as sliding, carving, dancing etc. Just an idea though :) See what you think. Peace.

  • @Originalskateboards Make one about how-to maintain bearings like cleaning and what is the recommendable lube to use.

  • @Originalskateboards how to make long board by yourself? like home made long-board!!

  • @Originalskateboards you guys should make trick tips on all different kinds of slides

  • @Originalskateboards Maybe some trick tips?

  • @Originalskateboards how to slide without slide gloves

  • @Originalskateboards how to ride long board

  • @Originalskateboards How to Slide For Beginners.g what to watch out for, what are good gloves to wear and use... i have a long board a zflex pintail i think it is and i really want to get into long boarding but i went down a 20 degree slope and i gained a high amount of speed but it didnt really know how to slop i triked brake footing but i cant do it in the stance that i was in and i was getting speed wobbles then i lifted my hands and started to jump up and down on the board to apply pressur

  • @lord2468vader22 e to stop but that didn't do me good so then what i did is i jumped infront fo my board then tumbled 5 times o_0 then the board hit me then fell down again when i was standing up and i am not exaggerating . after that i though that i would tighten by king pins cause i would get less speed wobbles but cant carve as hard o_0 please help.. i really want to get into this sport xD

  • @Originalskateboards How to make a longboard would be the sweetest tutorial, especially when it's done and you think: Original saved just another day of mine.

  • @Originalskateboards I just got some new harder wheels for sliding and i was wondering if there was a faster way to break them in or do i just have to be patient?

  • @chunkysenior go down a moderately steep hill and do really quick snappy carves the whole way down, not only will it break your wheels in with less than 30 minutes of riding but its also fun!!!

  • @Originalskateboards Original you should do trick tips like slides and freestyle tricks. Maybe how to make a longboard or longboard repairs.

  • @Originalskateboards how to put on trucks and wheels and bearing :)

  • Can u use a hot glue gun?

  • @WadeeeeeeeeZ No, it's not strong enough...

  • @WadeeeeeeeeZ actually you can just get a high heat one its like 13 bucks at wal-mart

  • check out my longboard video

  • This video really helped!!!! thank you!

  • @6:00 nice rack

  • @pryoman43 i thought you were talking bout titties lollol

  • ahhhh he's adorable!!! <3

  • Hey, I don't have a heating gun, so could I use some bug spray and a lighter instead?

  • thank goodness i found this, i don't feel like spending $80 on slider gloves yet

  • ok i have been riding longboards for about 6 months and its time for me to learn how to slide. what type of board would b best. i have a sector nine, the kind where your trucks sit on top. ( sorry forgot whats its called ) its has a lot of flex. and what kind of trucks too. I have duel pin gullwings

  • @raiderkid100 Get a stiff board to start with...it really depends on how tall you are and if you wanna do downhill...look at the freeride 38...thats a start anyway

  • @pryoman43 i am 5'2

  • @raiderkid100 don't get a new board just to learn how to slide, especially if you are doing slides that will involve the use of gloves. however if you are interested in freeride original does have a wonderful freeride board, the earthwing supermodel is another solid choice. if you want to do tech sliding earthwing has good decks for that to.

  • @Originalskateboards what would the right board be for me I live in a semi-hilly area and i just want to slide and do tricks? Plus this will be my first time riding one. thnx

  • 6:00 MUST HAVE ALL THE BOARDS!

  • this is high end haha my friends and i use the loose reflectors of the road and glue them to our palms :p

  • @7surferguy7 i have heard of people doing that. i also heard that they are hella slick and last forever. kinda funny come to think of it

  • Duuuude I still have no idea how to make these........... so do ya wanna give me the gloves you made in the vid??? :)

  • go to 3:00 for him drawing a huge nutsack with a small dick.

  • @RobotMonkeyStudio u would think that

  • Use a band-saw if you have access to one. You can simply cut away the sharp edges.

I know some people don't have access to a band-saw. But if you do use it. It will make

making the pucks a lot quicker.

  • @davidphilipsmusic I should of been more specific I melted the pucks with pieces of hot glue all the way until it had that glossy look and clamped it on for 20 minutes with a c clamp I undid it and did a pendy and the pucks fell right off

  • Will a hair dryer work?

  • @dbassgolfer no

  • how long will the gloves last compared to the ones made by loaded, longer? shorter? same?

  • @sillyduckling8311 honestly, if you get some thick leather gloves that fit you well. they will outlast the loaded freeride glove, the race gloves would probably last a little bit longer but they are like $80 so save your money for some different gear. landyatchz makes some pretty rad freeride gloves for $30 pucks included.

(just a side note pucks made from materials like UHMWP, delrin, corian will outlast cutting board. You can get corain samples for free at home depot)

  • about how much for all the materials???

  • help!!!!!!!!! i started to cut the cutting board with my jigsaw, and the heat from the jigsaw melted the cutting board and it stuck back together!!!! what do i do??? i have a handsaw but it is way too blunt!

  • @LewisC213 get a thicker chopping board? or maybe let the jigsaw cool down a bit after you cut out one puck

  • @LewisC213 i had this same problem. u need a new blade for the jig saw or just bang it out with a hammer and a pick or something.

  • @pebble998 I used something simular to a heat gun and it melted it and the glue and ithad a glossy look to it and I used a vice to clamp it on and they kept falling off after about a half hour of cooling. I gave up after two times and bought some industrial quality velcro.

  • would rubber cement work?

  • Comment removed

  • mate i try to use a jig saw but all it did was melt the fricken board

  • Will gorilla glue work??????????

  • oo me da um long da queles que apareceu ali vai kk serio...

  • Can I use a hairdryer instead of a heat gun ? and also how long does it take for the pucks to set on the glove when clamped ?

  • 7:03 "You have to prepare the glue sticks for preparation." What !?

  • hey what would be a good bored of me i live in a kind of hilly place and have never rode before

  • Comment removed

  • can i use a pistol heat gun? i dont know if you understand what i said but its almost the same thing and i'd like to know if it works the same way .-.

  • how long do the pucks stay on for.

  • wanna make me a pair of these? ill love you forever <3

  • i wonder if a butane torch would work

  • 2:38 Live long and prospure brian.

  • Comment removed

  • the pucks at @2:05 look like a penis

  • whats the best longboard for me because i live in a non hilly area near the beach and i just want to slide, cruise and do tricks?

  • @AznYoYoGuy2 the Apex 37, apex 34, hybrid 35, or the torpedo 40!

  • @Originalskateboards thanks!!

  • if i got a dollar for everytime i heard puck in this video i could buy my own longboard! (:

  • Can you use a blowdryer? :P

  • You guys should make a warehouse in California and then hire me right after :]

I could only imagine all the fun and crazy things you can do together hahah

  • can you do this with a hot glue gun ??

  • @itzchacebiznitch no the glove was to smooth i used a different more rough glove and it stuck just fine

  • sorry i was pissed off.... But i used hot glue than melted it with a heat gun untill it had a glossy look to it and clamped it but the problem was the glove because whatever it was made of was too smooth so i used a more rough glove and it turned out just fine thank you i appreciate your support

  • really nice video!you should invest in a jig saw...

  • HOW THE HELL DO YOU DO THIS I TOOK ALL THE PUCKS I SHAPED WITH A JIGSAW AND MELTED THE FRIGGING SANDED PUCKS WITH HOT GLUE CLAMPED THEM FOR FIVE MINUTES ONE BY ONE TOOK IT FOR A SLIDE AND THEY ALL FELL OFF THIS IS FRIGGING BULLSHIT!

  • @Sjanetsky1 hot glue doesn't work! Sorry! You need to use a heat gun.

  • @Originalskateboards can you use velcro and stick the velcro down with hot glue gun?

  • @Originalskateboards will i be able to slide on my sector 9 fractal with orangantang wheels easier or what? and also is my board good for sliding at all?

  • @coltwilson18 as long as your board isnt exceptionally long you should be able to slide it with practice, brand doesnt matter if the wheels are rounded on the edge they are probably good for sliding, square lipped wheels aren't as good. dont feel like you have to buy new wheels to slide if you have square lipped wheels you can slide anywheel

  • @Sjanetsky1 thats funny

  • @Sjanetsky1 you need to use a heat gun beacuase it actualy gets the puck to start melsting so the glue mixses in with the plastinc on the puck and not just stick to it :)

  • @Sjanetsky1 Don't glue them, melt the pucks and then stick them on. This is how I've always made gloves and they last for ages.

  • Finally a longboarder thats goofy!

  • @MrXJaRvIsX i ride goofy also haha

  • Amazing

  • if you dont have one of those heaters can u jus use the microwave?

  • what material is that cutting board made from?

  • handsome:P

  • I love the creativity and the simplicity of it. PS using the concrete stairs to round off the edges on the pucks was awesome. really cool and cost effective.

  • could you use any type of wood like chipboard? or is it too slippery and less grippy?

  • omg i just made these gloves today and bought some stuff from my hard ware store like the jigsaw but it was incredibly worth it i love them they are my first pare of sliding gloves and the rock!!! :)

  • Can I also us a hot glue Gun????

  • @cryopatic

I tried it. I did not work at all :( Use a heating gun or get some velcro :)

  • 1:31 lol

  • You guys should mass produce these and sell them on the cheap.

P.S. I made some recently and work very well.

    Thanks Original love your videos

  • what gloves are they ?

if i go to bunnings or something what gloves should i ask for ?

    thx

  • This is a bit unrelated but what wheels does Brian use?

  • You remind me of Stiffler from american pie :L

  • could i use a hairdryer??

  • what is the slide at 00:31 called???

  • @beyondsoundmind That's a 280 surrender slide!

  • thats what she said 6:59 to 7:04

  • from one cutting board you could make 10 pairs of gloves, but you made only one of them... oh... Americans... efficiency mean different things there(joking) BTW nice video bro... Thumbs up!

  • this song is in the coles add

  • if you use velcro wont the puck's come off easily when sliding?

  • @youjeff92 if you get good Velcro then the pucks should stay onto the gloves. Many gloves that are available for purchase are made with pucks that are held on with Velcro.

  • I would recommend using an actual jigsaw that plugs into the wall, instead of a saw-zaw. The cuts would be a lot cleaner

  • can u not velcro it on?

  • @toastonmymind you can use velcro!

  • @Originalskateboards Using velcro is cheaper than the glue and is the same effect ??

  • if u say puck one more time ima puck u up! lol nice vid thou

  • nice vid dude, ive been using my dads motorcycle gloves and this definately works better, but too bad i live in minnesota where there is no hills

  • why didnt you just use heavy duty velcro?

  • It wouldn't be a lobster, more of a TMNT

  • what weels were you using thanks

  • u turned a 20 minute process into over an hour and half. Easy way- Buy slide pucks for $10-15(ASL micro atoms, Black velvets), get velcro from ace, $5, get a sheet of UHMW-PE on ebay for fingers(if you want... not nececarry) $10, and gloves of your choice, $5-20, (leather gloves on ebay $6). With that, gorilla glue the pucks and cut out fingers of choice to velcro, gorilla glue or sow velcro to glove, VUALA! velcro pucks dont come off and are replacable, none of that clamping bullshit!

  • ca u just use a glue gun???

  • @thisisthenameofme a glue gun won't attach the pucks to the gloves strong enough. You would need to use a heat gun to melt the pucks into the gloves to ensure they stay on and are safe.

  • @Originalskateboards How about you stick the gloves in the oven with the pads on em? haha

  • @Originalskateboards Hey guys what video editing software do you guys use for your videos? cheers

  • @Skunbunnys Hey! Final cut pro

  • hey guys, i just used this exact method but instead of the heat gun I used a hair dryer on high, same result, just takes a little longer..

    :)

  • Made some pretty sick ones and go lobster style all the way

  • You know at 0:29 i began to suspect wether youre abilitys are human or not?

  • I already saw this vid but I thought I'd see it again

  • @scootkid100 if you use gorilla glue!

  • could you use a hair drier instead of the heat gun?

  • My GF thinks Bish is HAWT :/

  • I was gonna say ud look better with hair cut,

but i've been told that and it dosnt make me want to do it haha so nvm...

  • Turn on the transcribe audio and go to 2:13 :0

  • @greatjovi looolololololol

  • 2:35 spock

  • @scootkid100 a hot glue gun will not hold the plastic pieces to the glove well enough. The heat gun will melt the plastic into the glove so the pucks do not get ripped of while sliding! You can also use Velcro pieces instead!

  • gloves are really nice if made right but make sure to use a heating gun not hot glue gun it melts the plastic a little bit and it sticks better

  • @scootkid100 Hot glue doesnt have enough stick to pull it off. You can actually simplify the process by buying industrial strength velcro patches from Home Depot or Lowes and using them instead of heated glue. It is easier and they should hold if you get the right ones. Sort through the user comments on this video to get more details.

  • what board does he have

  • @Brooksey98 derringer 28

  • Original, i have been looking into how to make longboards. all the videos i watch are not very helpful. i was wondering if u could make a video to help me thanks

  • great tactic.my freind had work gloves and super glued on cut up peices of cutting board and it was about 6$

  • might i ask, what board and set up are you using in this video?

  • get corain dont have to cut and it last longer

  • Hey Brian, do you know a guy named Devin Aadland? He's one of my buddies

  • good vid nice editing and method but not to sound like an asshole but a reciprocating saw( what you used to begin with) is not a jigsaw a "jigsaw" would probably work nicer and easier for beginner power tool users (and it would be cheaper than a reciprocating saw) but having said that thanks, now I will build my own slide gloves (with my "jig saw") dig it bro

  • wat song was tht at the beginning?

  • @MegaTwatter watch the credits

  • are original s10 trucks supposed to carve as deep as they do? or is it bad for the wave cams?

  • ooo Brian you're my favorite longboarder in Original team longboarder i hope i will see you on Bomb Broadway next year
