  • His neck is Red, his collars Blue, reaches in his pocket and has ah chew.

  • How many farm boys end up being radio talk show hosts? County raised boys like me get stuff done, and don't waste time talking about it.

  • Being country does mean growing up in country.. City people don't know about it, thats for sure. It aint about what you wear or what you drive. Its about growing up working the land.. Be able to survive without a grocery store.. looking for miles and never seeing anything man made.. and especially not caring about whether someone calls you "country" or not. People seem to be mixing well mannered and country up.. Not that it really matters.. It just gets old..

  • If we all took the kind of attitude like what the song is about I think we'd all live in a better world.

  • God bless America... Enough said

  • yes, ..

  • Josh Thompson rocks! I'm a true blue country girl with a 03 Jeep wrangler. Only problem is my momma don't want me to jack it up yet.

  • country isnt wearing camo and boots , drinkin, dippin and having a jacked up truck. Its growing up the american way. learn your manners, values and to say yes ma'am. Its waking up before the sun rises and working your ass off till it goes down. probally none of y'all even milked a cow, rode a horse or harvested crops. I live in wisconsin, on a farm. yep hunting, fishing, farming and hangin out with some buddys around a bonfire with some jack d and grizz green on a friday night is the life up here

  • Sorry about the misspelling. English is not my native language

  • I see in the comments here that some of you got guns in your bedroom and that you are your own help etc.. Must feel really good that you live in a society where you need too have guns too feel safe..

    Wicked society.

The only reason too own weapon should be if you're a hunter. And when you're not using the weapon it should be locked in.

  • @RaukerN when you have people that brake into your house an your in bed an wake up to someone in your house that gun in the corner is nice to have there just in case they have one to duhhhh

  • @RaukerN That is in the perfect world.. There is no such thing as PERFECT though.. There will always be criminals and whack jobs... We have the right to bare arms for a reason , George Washington once said "A free people ought not only be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government"

  • @RaukerN Did you know that the average "emergency" response time for the police is just over 15 minutes? Cities consider anything near 12 minutes to be excellent. Did you know that the average violent robbery lasts around 8 minutes?

Think the cops will be there fast enough to save your life? Good luck with that.

  • I really think that flag should go i mean i love our american flag i just hate seeing it ripped up like that it should have its proper burial but great song!

  • @SLIPKNOTFREAK13017 you dont bury that flag man... you burn her and spread her ashes to the wind

  • 75 people dont know whats good for them

  • why the hell is there a toyata ad? buy american

  • Being country doesn't mean you were raised out in the sticks or worked on a farm. It is a way of life. I have lived in the city my whole life, but I guarantee that I can still fit in with the country crowd. It's not about boots, or trucks. Although I prefer both over sandals and a luxury car. It's about being respectful, working hard, and always being there for anyone in need.

  • @Lind2422 yankee. you still aint one of us although you try

  • @Lind2422 that's so true my friend ! thumbs up

  • @Lind2422 Your exactly right I'm a farm boy but i agree that you don't need to be born in the sticks or working on a farm any of that!

  • @Lind2422 You couldn't have put that in any better words my friend. North or south, Your welcome to my house with a fresh beer.

  • i was born in LA raised in chicago and i listen to this song and its what i want. love this song. i like the big city. i love the people in the country. hard work, respect, morals, a hand shack, family, and most of all GOD still #1 with country folks.

  • as of right now there is 75 retards that dnt knw their ass from their elbow when it comes to work, sweat and blood....prolly never listend to johnny cash , herd bought john wayne, or seen a john deer in there big city houses

  • Im so fucking proud to live in a hay field. Hey guys, my record label wants me to be a redneck so we can sell music to dellusioned conservatives. Durrrrr. We sure have you fooled.

  • yaaaaaa country by the grace of god!!!!!

  • im from a small town in south western va...im country from the top of my head to the souls of my worn out boots...and there aint nothing wrong with bein country!!! its a way of life..the best way of life i mite add!!! :) yall have a good one!!

  • Fantastic video! by the way my aunt used this hot diet system called: Impact 790 Diet and dropped 7 kgs within just a month. I can't remember the web site just Google it.

  • within five feet of my bed is 2 shotguns and my bow....i am my help

  • Absolutely love this one, couldn't have been said better. Way to go Josh, amazing song.

  • Just love how literally on every single fucking video there is some sort of argument about something SO stupid and SO pointless. You're really wasting your time. Who cares if you're from the country or from the city. If you like the song, you like the song. You don't have to have a certain career or live in a certain place or have certain belief's to listen to music. Get over yourselves. Seriously.

  • OO. that beautiful 64 GTO :O damn that thing was beautiful

  • My taste in music has changed a lot over the years, but this song always brings me back home, back down to earth and reminds me who I really am!

  • I'm country to the fullest living on a dirt road, cant see the neighbors house tree stand 100 yards in the back yard. However, the fact that everyone thanks god for everything is crazy. He isn't the reason you got that house, great kids or that job. If there is a god and thats a big if he didn't give you anything you earned it. If is does all the good then he has to be responsible for the bad. Like kids with cancer, starving kids or poverty..

  • @Jaker1786 What would happen if no one had cancer, It's not the nicest thing to say but the population would grow out of control. The you live be a few tree's, you are blind and cant see your neighbors house. You have not lived a day in the country. You would never ever, ever, make it on a farm. Ah and another thing, no one gives a shit you dont think God is real. But he is and it's fuck's like you that cause problem's.

  • @dirtbiker4lfe thank u dude don't listen to them were too smart to be a athiest we actually have common sense

  • @Jaker1786 you shut ur ugly little mouth Im not stupid enough to be an atheist if u got any kind of sense u would no that THE ALMIGHTY PERFECT GOD created everything even u and ur stupid little athiest mind he loves u anyway i pray one day u turn away from ur wrong doings and from the devilu no ur going to hell and ur trying to drag everyone with u so shut the crap up u stpid athiest

  • Chances are that if you have to get on a country song and talk about how country you are. Then you probably aren't really country at all, otherwise why would you care? Don't get me wrong were I grew up isn't but a hop and a skip from the place this song describes. But to get on here and "brag" about where you came from doesn't do much for peoples opinion of you. And afterall isn't that really the only reason you are posting about how country you are is for the opinion of others on this page?

  • @Lieolt STFU

  • @TheSerenity63 My apologies hit too close to home?

  • look no niggers no mexicans ! go figure

  • Most of us served just to get out of Dodge .... but ended up coming back... way out here.

  • ya'll dont know what its like to live in the country and farm until you've actually done it

  • Ponytail

  • yall wanna see tough...come out to the country where theres alot more to worry about than some nigger shootin you in your sleep...you think the city is tough? ha what a joke

  • yall would have NO idea of whats its like to live on a farm...its like your a different breed workin out in the fields all the time.

  • why do all you country people think youre better than everyone else? hahaha i mean ive always wanted to live a country life.. but you guys are way too fucking cocky hahahah

  • @marevico We are protective of our ways not cocky you City folk are cocky walking around in your baggy jeans and designer coats . I have nothing against anyone in the City all I am trying to say is you don't know us and we don't know you it's been this way and always is gonna be that way !

  • @marevico country people are actually not that cocky, country people just stand up for themselves and dont follow around and let other people boss us around. when country boys wanna do something, theyll do it. no complaints, 4x4, shot guns, fishing poles, and heart. That's what country is all about.

  • @imwhiteist Hell yea thats what country is about.

  • @imwhiteist you forgot a case of beer and/or bottle of whiskey

  • @marevico we just stand up for ourself

  • @marevico If the sh*t hits the fan ... you'll see the better side.

  • I'm living outside US and I want to say I love US and I hope someday I'm gonna be there.

  • Wow such a great song about us Country folk..so true us blue collar rednecks bust our ass to make a living and i wouldnt have it any other way i stand for our country and i love America and the Soliders who defend for our freedom everyday

  • What's this "police" everyone's talking about? Never heard of them out here lol.

  • only have one bit of advice for you city fold I CARRY A GUN BECAUSE A DONUT CHUCKIN COFFEE SWILLIN COP IS JUST TOO DAMN HEAVY AND A LITTLE SLOW TO AIM FOR MY TASTE

  • i also happen to like country lol

  • If you don't want to get shot, don't break into my house. It's pretty simple, stop getting your panties in a bunch.

  • Fuck yankees :)

  • If people dont like this song then why the fuck are you listening to it?

  • man... would you city slickers just leave us alone!!

  • My family lives back a lane, over a creek and surrounded by trees. We love the Lord Almighty above all. However, right below Him is our freedom. We have 4x4s, an 85 pound security system that bares fangs, and a safe full of our "investments" right across the room from the wood burning stove. We have 3 loaded firearms in our bedroom when my wife and I sleep: a 40 cal, a 9mm, and my Mossberg 590, full of 00 buck. We don't wait for help to arrive in any situation: we are the help. God bless.

  • Unless you grew up in the country you have no idea what this song is about. I hear plenty of chatter from the city people in here and you are missing the point. People who live in the country are different. Different politics, morals and character. I love how the reaction is city people are tough you wouldn't last in my "hood". Well in my "hood" people still treat each other with respect and are kind. Wanna talk about tough? Try working 24/7 on a farm and come talk to me about tough.

  • @mackjenn1 So your saying anyone born in the city can't help/look out for their neighbors or friends or care about their wellbeing. And still be there for their own family? You have to be born in the country to have those values? Strength, caring and surviving isn't about how many hours you work a day. It is about the challenges you face and your way of dealing with it. I don't believe city or country folks can claim one way of life is harder. Born & mostly raised city. I live in the country.

  • Comment removed

  • @mackjenn1

I've been out to the country before, I was born in the city and I gotta say, people in the country are much nicer and stronger than these folk in the city. Wish I was living out there. Oh well, can't choose where you're born.

  • @mackjenn1 I feel you 100% grew up on the farm work there 24/7 and in the winter get up at 4 am to work in town to make some extra cash these city people don't get it

  • @mackjenn1 agree or you need some suger for you coffee you can get it from the next store neibor and get tools and help each other no matter if it is a 100 dollar tool and and alot of people dont know what it is like picking tobacoo but yeall have a good day great song josh cuts deep down in the soul man

  • @mackjenn1 ahh...that lovely smell of chicken feed at 5:30a m..mixed with tractor grease and coffee.....

  • @deadmanrisingdx thats right!!! we outta bottle it and sell it!!!! :)

  • @mackjenn1 your not lying! Sun up to sun down everyday!

  • @mackjenn I couldn't agree with you more. I had a friend from town. He always complained that he couldn't be in the country and live the dream. One day a neighbor i was working for wanted me to bring someone along because he had a ton of bales needed to be thrown. We went from 8ish until 9ish that night when the dew came on. My friend wouldn't come back the next day, wasn't "his kind of country"

  • @mackjenn1 Agreed, It's a job filled with sweat, and where the term hard work is put to the test. I work on a farm, partially live there with as much as i'm there. I also am a volunteer fire fighter that's about a mile from the farm. "Country folks", are genuine, respectul, and really won't take a dime unless we've earned it, We are there for our friends anytime they need us. Whether three a.m. ten p.m. we're there

  • @mackjenn1 I'm going back down to south Carolina when I turn 18. I was born down there and I want to stay there

  • @mackjenn1 Amen to that brother!

  • Enough with all the hate. I LOVE COUNTRY music! I heard this song while listening to pandora(Miranda Lambert station) bottom line it's just not my kindda country, I did get a racist vibe initially but as I said before there were no direct hits. Being a native Texan i can honestly say, I've never had an occasion to pull out my 45 to protect my home (yet) Oh but don't get it twisted being the wife of a cop I know how to use it! I don't like the song you do so you listen and I won't. It's all good

  • how can anybody not like this song

  • Security alarms are over-rated. My dog and my gun is all I need.

  • this is the way i was rise and the way i still live and rise my kids

  • How about you city folks and you rednecks just shut the hell up. We are in the greates country in the world. If we weren't we couldn't listen to great music such as this.

  • Americanism means the virtues of courage, honor, justice, truth, sincerity, and hardihood.

    -Theodore Roosevelt

  • very good song.

  • Wisconsin man born and raised. Fuck anyone who says you have to be southern to be country. This man is as legit as anyone from dixieland.

  • I like how the music video stops at 4:20

  • Im protected by the good lord and my Remington 11-87 and my can of chew

  • Good song

  • Proud to serve when i can hear songs like this....truly hits home great job

  • look i'm not here to start problems, but if you're just going to write a dis-respectful comment about this song or about 'rednecks' don't say anything at all. if that's how they want to live their life then let them. and its not only 'rednecks' that listen to country. I'm from right outside Philly and i LOVE country. who cares about what genre of music people listen to or how they live their life, mind your own business and worry about yourself. i hate how judgemental people are.

  • My house is protected by the good lord and 20ga mossberg pump.

  • @dixielandsince89 I have been, and plan to continue leaving you alone. Calm down, no need to get all worked up.

  • Rednecks scare me. I'll enjoy my life in the upper-class suburbs, and avoid associating with the smokers, chewers, and fryers....

  • @elliotswann Do what the song says then idiot LEAVE US THE HELL ALONE!!!!!!!

  • @dixielandsince89 Oh be nice, the kid was just being honest. That IS a virtue we're supposed to value highly, isn't it?

  • @elliotswann Aww sweetheart we ain't that scary. Just don't insult us, and don't wear a suit, you should be fine.

  • @kjbird3 But I have to wear a suit everyday for school :(

  • @elliotswann Well no one can really hold that against ya. Went to a privet school myself for a few years, just don't act uppity and no one should care too much.

  • @elliotswann dam that sucks.

  • Comment removed

  • @marymadonna10 You would rather trust an alarm system to protect your house and family? I'd much rather put my trust in my 12ga with 00 buck. Enjoy living in the city with your protective alarms and police that come to the rescue lol.

  • @ttCaptOats I got 80 acres a shotgun a backhoe and a bag of lime nuff said

  • @Reapermagic25 I like your way of thinking!

  • @ttCaptOats No sense in paying for an alarm system when you know everyone in town and the next town over is miles away :)

  • @ttCaptOats lol fuck the police.hillbilly pride

  • @ttCaptOats And with the record of response times taking longer then 10 minutes, you may as well not have cops. Its like Josh Thompson said, our houses are protected by the Good Lord and a Gun.

  • @ttCaptOats what kind of IDIOT would wait for the cops or trust an alarm you must pay monthly on.. when i paid $250 for my mossberg 500 and 20$ for ammo.. no monthly shit, REAL countryboy...here

  • @ttCaptOats Country girl here ! All i need is a fucking shotgun to get my point across to yall city bitches...

  • @ttCaptOats isleep with a mossberg 500 with 00 buck. it is a good feeling. cant wait till i turn 21 and can carry my kimber everywhere else.

  • @ttCaptOats i live in the city and i got mad guns. Police don't even come sometimes lol

  • Im sick and tired of the stupid city people getting on these country songs and writing bad comments about us rednecks and our music and this song is one of my favorite and if the city folk dont quit the're gonna see how capibale we are of kiking there asses

  • @countryman551 Hell yeah! Thanks for having the balls to say that!

  • @countryman551 A country boy from the sticks could whoop a city boys ass anyday. But you get this wanna be mutherfuckers that think just because they have a big trucks and wear boots they are country.

  • @countryman551 ...ok so im from the city and i love country so i know what ur saying for sure n i agree! but dont hate on us city people. youd b suprised at how many ppl actually love country. and city can get pretty ghetto so idk if ud b able to kick there ass bc ghetto people can b tough bitches and on top of that they have weapons. ud die. no offense. lol just sayin. oh and u spelt capable wrong ;)

  • @KayLoveSkates Country Is Country Wide

  • @KayLoveSkates Hey if the ghetto pple mess with one of us they get the whole trailer park!

  • @KayLoveSkatesYou dont think us country boys have any weapons??

  • @KayLoveSkates... hahaha you clearly dont know what country is. and trust me you dont threaten a country boy with GUNS ares are bigger n we can actully hit our target. JUST SAYIN

  • @KayLoveSkates you spelled spelled wrong.. My 1911 will beat any niggers gun

  • @KayLoveSkates haha, i think you have it backwards, country people could kill ghetto people, all them ghetto people are just cowards, scared to get down and dirty, haha

  • @CountryLover36 ummmm i live in a ghetto town trust me ik! its everywhere. and ive been in country places too where absolutely nothing happens. we r way worse. talk about what u know.... we have puddles of blood in our schools because of the fights we get with ghetto kids here...ppl get killed.... country people... i love them but i will say they wouldnt make it against any of that.. lol

  • @countryman551 If it wassent for country people this country would be nothing and city people will die FIRST they only work with money and there brains country people work with there hands and mostly food. If the government crashed city folk would be screwed and they know it. Id rather be country boy than city boy anyday

  • @countryman551 not to diss on you, but you cant spell for shit... and thats probably why you're being made fun of...

  • @countryman551 It doesn't matter. This is a good song, and if someone wants to come on this page and write a bad comment about people that like it, then whatever. Truth is, this song will hit home with more people in this country than songs about going to the club in million dollar cars and spending thousands on strippers. This is a song about real life - the best way of life. If you like it then be proud of it and don't let it bother you when someone clearly doesn't get life way out here

  • @countryman551 amen to that!

  • @countryman551 I'm from the country and the reason they are talking shit is cause retards like you make us look bad by not even being able to spell two sentences correctly, they aren't going to be afraid of someone kicking their ass who isn't capable of spelling capable.

  • @countryman551 You spelled "capable" and "kicking" wrong, dumbass.

If our country was run by you people, we'd all have gay pony tails and would be fucking our own cousins.

-Seattle WA is where its at. Fuck the country, hicks.

  • @sevennobs

seattle is some fuckin city that has way to many ppl an its all city folk so leave us alone an dont diss country cuz we can diss the fuckin city too u jack ass

  • @countryman551 hell yea i stand by ya!!!

  • @countryman551 hell yeah man, them city folks don't know how it is out here. I've traveled all over the country and be to Europe and other continents and you still cant come close to good ole country living..don't let em' fool ya, the cities aren't hitting on much. and they wouldn't last a week without us

  • Comment removed

  • Mary, shut the fuck up and let people enjoy the song, go chill with George(who you know BTW) and quit wasting our time commenting about your bullshit

  • @glocks682 Ok all I have to say is that ya'll are mean country folks, what is with all the anger. Living "way out there" must be stressfull on you because ya'll are angry angry people. Or are you just very bored "way there" Any way i'm outta this comment discussion and BTW it is a discussion when sokarr6 called me to the mat about a few things I said, I corrected some of my statements. I'm from the great state of Texas, and I'm so glad I never encountered people like you!

  • @marymadonna10 just SHUT UP you're revealing your stupidity and ignorance we aint angry were prideful and Im from texas its the fact you pissus off ythats when we get angry other than that were good hearty people!!!

  • @evanjtdooner-Nice do you kiss your mother with that mouth. So I have to agree with you and this(sorry excuse for a song) to be American I don't think so the fact that I can speak my mind is part of the reason I love America. That right was won by my father, my grandfather you get the picture. Not by a race baiting, ear splitting bunch of dribble this kid calls a song. Listen if ya still have to protect your house with a six shooter, maybe you should move to the city. I have an alarm system.

  • This song is so cheap, and shallow oh and racist, and did I mention, very baaaaaaddd! JT sounds like a crying hound dog. But I guess your use to that umm "Way Out There" so cheesey!!!

  • @marymadonna10 Wait, how is it racist, exactly?

  • @Sokarr6 Ok I listened to the song a few more times, and there are no direct hits on the racist front, however I still get a racist vibe, so I apologize for the racist part.........but the song still SUCKS, it's depressing who wants to live in a place where you have to tote a gun around protecting your front porch! Get an alarm system dude, free up some time to go listen to some real country music like Alan Jackson,Kenny,Willie, Chris Young,Martina, or The Judds or Tim or George(who I know BTW)

  • @marymadonna10

plz just plz take yer city ass outta here before u get hurt an dont f-ing come back

  • @zzzaaannn2 Umm ok, i'll leave umm cyberspace and never come back............cuz you said so.

  • @marymadonna10 no i mean stay outta country music if yer just gonna start a fight

  • @marymadonna10 how is it racist and shallow? or cheap?

  • @011captainawesome Ok I may have been a little dramatic in using the word racist. But you have to admit it baits, insinuates. John Wayne, Johnny Cash and the John Deer manufac. Did not live in the back woods, and really do you think Josh does either. So while i'm back tracking on the racist comment( I listened to the song a few more times and while i get that old racist vibe, there were no direct hits) I just bet Johnny Cash would have like hanging with me more than @evanjtdooner he's a jerk!

  • @marymadonna10 just stfu and go fall in a whole somewhere and die. if you dont see the meaning in this song your not a true american...

  • @marymadonna10 And where are you from? Oh that's right.... CANADA

  • @marymadonna10 Look you got your alarm system and shit goin on, but guess what, by the time the alarm has went off and the the cops show up, you could have nothing and possibly no life left to live, that we us rednecks have our own alarm, his name is ole blue hes bout 230lbs and will tear whoever apart, and if that dont get the point across to people that they dont needa be there then we let smith and wesson handle that from that time on.

  • Those Obama lovers voted for Clinton too piss on them.... LIBERALS SUCK!

  • 71 OBAMA LOVERS DISLIKES THIS
