  • Current events with an old and familiar comforting groove. Like the style, Ed. Nice!

  • I wish I could write a song about the solution rather than the problem.

    Ed

  • Sometimes just singing about it IS the solution because awareness is the first step in problem solving.

  • thanks for the posting

  • Thanks for your interest.

    Ed

  • Loans and credit is what puts money into circulation. All money in circulation is on loan by interest from bankers who print it from thin air. If no person, business, or the Government Borrowed money from Bankers. Then the money in circulation would dry up as it goes to pay interest, anyone in debt would have the home/property repossessed and would become property of the bankers and then there is would no money. This is the truth not some conspiracy theory.

Watch the video Money as Debt.

  • Are you a famous song writer or somet?

  • I like the "or somet".

No - I'm not -and don't want to be - famous. I just like to write songs and whoever uses them - well known - unknown - talented or untalented I'm more than happy as long as they add something to the creative process.

    Best wishes

    Ed

  • Nice song.

  • Thanks a lot - if you ever sing it let me know the reaction!

    Ed

  • Powerful song. It really sucks, this whole $ situation. When they profited, they locked us out, but now that they've lost, we have to share their loss? Not fair in the least. I remember reading that CEOs spent money in spas after the bailout. Shame on them.

  • It is called privatising the profits and socialising the losses. There was an old phrase that went "laughing all the way to the bank" - now it is a case of crying - going to, queuing at - and coming back - from the bank!

Comment above says you are never poor if you can laugh - sounds good advice.

    Ed

  • A bloody good effort!!!! I posted it as 'My old Man's a Banker' a skit on Lonnie Donegan's 'My Old Man's a Dustman' but yours is a lot better in my opinion. I'm not a folkie but my cousin Mike Deighan is a great banjo player and plays with The Temperance Seven. He's also a great fingerstyle guitarist. 10+

    Jo

  • Ah dear old Lonnie - that's who started it all off for me and a million others - I used to spend my paper round money on his records. I could certainly have used a banjo picker on my effort.

Perhaps someone will put all our credit crunch musical comments on one cd for posterity but - there again - what has poserity ever done for us!

    Ed Pickford

  • :D cool

  • It is certainly cool in the north east today -it's freezing - I've been recording in gloves - thanks for your comment.

    Ed

  • I'll have a look at that.

    Ed

  • The best compliment is if you sing it.

    Ed

  • Very good ! For another take on the subject check out "Life is Sh*t" by Dwayne Mcain.

  • i recon the credit crunch wouldnt happen if we were all in the same boat but no Mr.brown gets a cut of our money and can live a fuckng good life while were gettng arse raped by the credit crunch

  • Don't forget to sing it!

    Ed

  • That was really good :) I'll be downloading this :)

  • That's very interesting - thanks.

  • As featured on the 'Tony Horne In The Morning' radio show: tonyhorneinthemorning. com

  • Reminds me of Woody Guthrie

  • That is very perceptive. Guthrie has been my hero for about 50 years. I first came across him when playing siffle.

    Ed

  • well, you carry on a fine tradition

  • hey dude nice song gotta say, shit life well i bet some of us wont be able to eat in a couple of months but hey at least gorden fucking brown gets to sit in his office eat and sleep and say he is dealing it how long gorden took four years to get some troops out of iraq but hey dont he fucking worry but cheers for this song man it cheered me up

  • I thnk there is an American saying that goes something like, "I was born with nothing and I've still got most of it left!"

There's a comment above that says a man is not poor if he can still laugh - seems like a reasonable attitude to me.

    Ed

  • my food tastes better,i enjoy the things in life like my children more

    lifes great

    keep posting vids gl

  • sweaty

  • A man isnt poor if he can still laugh.

  • I like that - it's clever.

    Ed

  • The banker's an asshole...

  • xD ahaaha

  • Couldn't agree more! The banks have screwed people over for fuckin years! And now people see them for what they really are! I do believe the government and the banks are to blame for all this!

  • glad I made all my money, and now the taxpayer is paying for my greed - suckers!

  • Superb! Every word True!

  • huh bankers! change the b to a w, great post

  • I did think about that originally but it is better left to other people to say it in their mind.

    Ed Pickford

  • nice song lol, poor old mcdonald and no comment on poor bow peep

  • Farmers always get it rough - Bo-Peep used the goverment retraining programme -Willie Winkie is in detox - Old King Cole's slide guitar technique is coming on leaps and bounds!

    Ed Pickford

  • cool man... great tune... was just gonna write a song like this... but ya beet me...

    well done!!! great tune..

  • Thanks very much but wouldn't like to think I've stopped you putting your "spin" on the subject. There's always room for another song on any subject.

Another thing you could do is add some verses or something like that - happy creating.

    Ed Pickford

  • Ed this is brilliant!!!!! Can you persuade someone to let you do it on the box?

  • Alas I have no such power - this box will have to do for now - thanks for your comment.
